… it costs two Tavern Tickets to enter.
That’s a new thing. It seems clear that, like Arena tickets of old, you’ll soon have to spend tavern tickets to access the weekly brawl.
So, don’t spend all of those tavern tickets at once. You’re going to need those tickets for the brawl next week, and the week after, and the week after…
They’re finally ruining tavern brawl, and not just through repetition.
Soon, you’ll be spending a ticket to play an old brawl you’ve played so many times before, and for a chance of winning a pack!
But wait. If you pay to get packs then what’s the point of not doing it for free to get packs? Getting packs for F2P is an activity more fun to me than buying the packs because it’s a minigame of a sort to optimize the dust I get.
Hmm, don’t think they’re putting in the 2 Tavern Ticket entry fee every week. Just once every 4 months the week before expansion release. Plus we got a free entry anyway.
They did this kind of Brawl at the previous expansion too… however there were more sets availble to use. The first entry is free so there is nothing to worry about I think… this has nothing to do with the monetizing. Even for zero win you get 2 free packs if you check on the table… Usually you get 1 free pack every week for 1 Brawl win… This week you get 2 free packs for even 3 lose… What the hell is wrong with ppl… Jesus…
well i used the free attempt with some randomly put together warrior dreanei deck i didnt have all the cards for and couldnt be bothered to craft them.
I still got 2 wins despite me not enjoying the brawl and quickly surrendering alot. i still got a few free packs.
But yeah no way im going to spend 2 tickets on this just for a few packs as a reward. This brawl feels like you will have a heavy advantage if you preordered the expansion or did alot of runs of it to get packs with the cards that are strong there. the more you invest into it the more likely you will win more of what you needed to win there
Bigger problem is how many players were borked by patch wonkiness if you logged in and built a deck right away you got hosed deck goes invalid all you can do is retire and get nothing for your “free” entry.
That’s the key point here — it’s a special event for the occasion. As for the rest:
No, it’s not. I think it’s the second brawl of this kind, and much better than the infamous so-called ‘heroic’ one.
It would seem that way, but actually, 6 wins are doable even without any new cards whatsoever.
I’ve done it a couple of times, maybe more (lost count), with a starship DH… When it comes to expensive cards, had that Dirdra legendary, but she doesn’t seem that important… Also crafted The Ceaseless Expanse, which can be disenchanted for the full cost, but I don’t think I needed it in my actual runs , although it’s a strong card in that format.
So:
In principle, why not? Once could farm some new packs and cards for tickets — not that there’s a better used for them anyway, unless the new Arena suddenly turns out well — even without paying any real money like a fool.
By the way, a properly built Draenei Warrior deck looks quite strong in the brawl, and no new cards are required.
Don’t compare drug dealing to a video games please… they are really different… First entry is free if you can’t stop there… than it is your fault… I didn’t buy the bundles either, had 5 tickets… got 8 packs from 3 matches… free is free.
