Two quick questions:
What class(es) do you play?
Do you try playing around it, or do you just throw spells out and hope the Paladin doesn’t have Yogg up?
It’s a ridiculously strong card given the correct circumstances (eg. play at 8 mana to delay Twisting Nether by a turn) .
If played randomly via SoF, it’s just as likely to hurt the user as it is to help them. If I could post links, I’d give you an example – but believe me, there are many times where OMY can backfire and instantly lose the game for the caster.
Further to this, most players are aware of it now and even abuse it to cheat out better spells. eg. a 0 mana spell is very likely to give you Lightning Bloom, Innervate or Preparation.
Oh my Yogg usually backfires and I get blasted HARD.
try running few cheap cost spells between 0-1 cost to pop it…its just as annoying as counter spell when your deck run mostly high cost spells
if you got no cheap spell the secret will harm you big time…even more if you face secret mage
Wait till you get your 1 mana test spell for oh my yog turned into oh my yog, and next turn turning the paladin’s libram of hope into something useless. They never play around oh my yogged oh my yoggs
It is undoubtedly strong, as far as I’m concerned the problem is not having to play around it in the single turn, but during the various turns, if for example he has the weapon equipped or plays secrets from his hand, he will have to play around it for several turns, and therefore one is obliged to make non-optimal plays, this is the real strength of that secret
Use the minion that plays all enemy secrets on battlecry This way you also know which secrets he has. Against a mage i just wait till he or she got a few secrets up. And this minion can be played twice. Or more when return to hand.
And there is also a minion who give low cost spells ik battlecry. But don’t know names. I only read effects.
I honestly don’t know how they can nerf the card effectively without just outright removing it or reworking it somehow, you can’t just up the mana cost because it’s a secret and secret cards have to be uniform in cost to actually be somewhat secret, you can’t just nerf the effect because it’s already completely random. It’s such a weird card to balance.
it’s comparable to counterspell, and cost 1/3rd
it’s really annoying, it’s a caard every player would run 2 copies if given the chance.
that’s what you deserve!
