Now that basically you can’t win unless you run the strongest deck and there is no longer anything enjoyable about the game except “winning”. What other card games are out there that are actually decent and enjoyable now? Yugioh is too complicated these days and I have seen what that has become, is the marvel one decent?
It is. It is a very enjoyable game. But the problem there (for me) is that you have to play everyday if you want to increase your card collection. If you missed cards during certain events you cannot craft them. But I didn’t spend any money there, so not sure if that would be different.
I summed up my opinion on Marvel Snap a few months after it was released:
If you only care about having fun, losing games shouldn’t bother you, yet here you are complaining about not winning, so you really aren’t playing hearthstone for fun, or you’d just be playing casual
Define “strongest deck”.
You can still build your own deck and win some games, though this is way better to do in Wild, just got to be mindful what are the staple cards across 10 years of Hearthstone that you can put in. I recently made a Concoction Secret Rogue using cards from mostly 2022 sets (Castle Nathria and March of the Lich King) and had fun with it, but it did include key cards like Breakdance from Festival of Legends.
In Standard, decklists are set for 20 cards and the last 10 can be somewhat customised, but the power lies in those base 20 cards.
Was classic operating under Imagination Physics? Weren’t the best decks winning more?
Mtg arena is your thing mate, the father of modern fantasy tcgs. Nowadays I just play hearthstone get legend fast some arenas and shift to magic, the all time favorite card game. Much more strategic but not super complicated like yu gi oh. Many differences but the most similarities with hearthstone than any other tcg. The art and flavor were always 1 step ahead than everybody else. After the tutorial you will get the feeling and the transition will come naturally. Many cards and packs are awarded in the beginning so you can start with. If you want more information I am more than happy to help.
What if, my playing for fun means, I build my own deck, out of the meta that I can win with and rank up?
Fun fact, if you play for fun, but then Zerg Dk just palys 1 mana 5l5 for the rest of the game, where do I find my fun?
If I don’t draw viper against weapon rouge or my dirty rat misses colossus or shuderwock? Hm?
Shadowverse and Yu-gi-oh Master Duel are the only other card games I’ve played.
“Now”
Weird way to describe the last half-decade.
Just hold on guys, about 40 days left until the rotation, the meta will completely change… just hold on.
have you tried the pokemon trading card game on the gameboy color? fun game.
but for real, if you want a online one you pretty much end up with magic the gathering or yugioh. trading card games generally tend to be offline after all. i had the same question on the forums before. But theres just not many online multiplayer ones with a big player base
Why not day 0? Weren’t there bad decks and good decks in 2014?
you chose for the game to be unfun
no one is forcing you to play hearthstone in the way you play it other than you
you can add friends, tell them what kind of decks you want to face, all yall can make your own banlists, and just play the way you want
plus with the borrow deck feature, you dont even needs to use your own cards, you can just have 1 person make all the decks you want to use, then while vsing them, use their decks
everytime i see this post, i cant help but laugh at OP for being silly
add me cheezuscrust#1567
i have some decks that are built just for having fun with other people
