Hi.
So, some of us can’t afford devices that play hearthstone right now since its a pandemic and 2021 things are crazy. So for entertainment youtubing hearthstone is almost free entertainment, even if it’s watching someone play a video game.
Could you streamers do everyone a favor and not post videos of you playing decks against janked out opponents? We get suggested your videos without being asked for the suggestions, they physically? are on our screen. As in they are technically almost impossible to avoid seeing since they are shoved in our screen.
What this means is, don’t post videos saying “check this deck out” and its against idk a control warlock that does…nothing but try to set up a slow combo and therefore busts and then you are showing YOUR deck as some winning deck, when the win was clearly due to your opponent’s failure, not your deck’s success. It’s basically false advertising, bc you are choosing the winning matches the deck had, against not realistic opponents. Like a bricking combo deck, or some homemade thing that isn’t like something we’d normally see. it does 0 good for us to see that, and makes it look like some deck is a worthwhile strat when its not going to be once you face like normal meta.
So, please post your deck showcases against actually meta, bc that’s what 99 percent of wild is, and that’s what we’d like to see. If you have nothing to show, then why post a handpicked easy match or two with a deck for content? “i can show this not common deck but only if it wins which will have to be against home-made or a brick” and this is like frustrating to come across. At least put it in the title “vs a bricking not meta deck” so the video is avoidable. Note: Meta doesn’t brick. That’s why metadecks are strong, they have a very low chance of like not being consistent. Yes, OTK streams are exempt since their entire showcase is very low win percent OTKs, nobody expects that deck to win more than 1/100 matches.
Basically streamers, we know what meta is, and the first thing we ask ourselves when watching your videos is “is the opponent playing meta or jank?” and if its jank, or a brick, i mean any showcase you are doing with a deck goes out the window since just about any deck would win vs that opponent. please up your quality. Also, a mute button for your voice so we can just chill out and look at cards would be ideal. Politely, not everyone want’s to hear your opinion and thoughts, sometimes we just want to not be influenced but watch the game. Thanks.
Check it out, he’s playing against the best deck in the game currently and destroying it.
rule 1 of youtube: never click on a video that claims to be good
Check out Brian Kibler, Regis Kilbin, Dekkster, and (sometimes) Rarran. The first two are espcially good for watching off-meta decks play against (and beat) meta ones.
Also, please be sure to always comment and like on every video posted by your favorite streamers. It helps them a ton with the YouTube algorithm, and thus helps greatly when it comes to actually earning a living off of entertaining us.
you must be new to youtube if you now realised most videos have clicbait titles

This is just trolling right? I honestly can’t tell anymore.

Nice! How about all the clips diluting the quality of internet-watching where they are not playing against anything competitive and do not acknowledge that in the title, and instead, type out their own decks’ name in caps like its a winning deck on it’s own power as opposed to the opponent’s wack deck and or brick?
Long sentence, and they shortest way i could condense down the reality.
I suggest you to find a streamer/youtuber that you like and to watch these video only.
Don’t look for random HS video, otherwise youtube will suggest you the most clickbait video ever, that is usually a 10 minutes video, with 4 minutes “please like subscribe and non sense” and garbage gameplay.

Exactly, the thing is for Wild, we don’t have access to Kibs and company because well, they don’t play wild.
So it’s a situation where ofc Dane and Roffs rule the format BUT, sometimes you’d like to watch more content than their 2-3 matches that their one video puts out.
So, you end up clicking on other content-shovers for wild trying to make a name, and you hit their deck advertisement videos and immediately see the opponent’s deck and its like this is sooo clickbait but not in the normal sense. Normal sense clickbait is “this off meta dominates caps check me out bro!” and such. What they do is just type out the deck name like “off meta hunter” and you’ll see it playing against jank or a bricked deck.
So what they are doing is clickbaiting side-b style, by not actually claiming the deck’s good BUT show it winning because its playing jank / a bricked off meta opponent. It’s basically a simple “clean your act up” to streamers, like don’t try to insult us by showing some whatever deck vs bricks/jank, nobody’s buying that match as a realistic situation you’d run into on ladder. They COULD be revealing and go “vs brick” or “vs jank” but they exclude that humungous reality from the title for clicks. that’s the minnow they hooked on that exclusion. Well this is when people used to fish before social media and phone smart-capabilities took over everything. Like now if you go fishing its like “Hold up getting a text” and “hold up pic for social” and “hold up lets google the lake depth” and so forth smartphones are so uncool, phones are legit but not smartphones they attack everything you do bc of their power. Our world revolves around smartphones, the smart part, no doubt about it, its embarrassing hopefully change comes some year.
So call it a call out, but its true, psa is very 2016 or so that phrase is way too outdated just like going on social media or group texts fad sort of things. remember when ppl used to look up decks to copy and play online and convince themselves their play is the winning factor not the decklist? lol. outside of mirrors, this list is like 99 percent the power, but im going to pretend its me and my play in like every matchup. i mean mirrors test, idk about non mirrors. Maybe if everyone comments on youtube “your opponent is playing trash” it would send the message. At the same time, you want to see someone make a name for themselves, so it’s like, do you support spun content hoping they’ll change their ways once they make it if they do? Its like a gamble like playing casino games, nah mean?
