Now THIS is pod racing.
- Force each enemy minion to attack a random enemy minion.
- Take control of an enemy minion.
- Fill your hand with 1/1 Chaotic Tendrils.
So he doesnât win games, heâs a removal tool. Clear enemy board (hopefully) with an enemy-only Mass Hysteria, get an enemy minion with an Infused Sylvanas, or the bad option.
Seems like he goes into any Control deck, or at least any control deck that doesnât have a specific, proactive win condition. Odyn Warrior wonât play this but Warlock, Priest and Blood DK will.
thank you, that should help show it all
its fun watching edit updates
Ok I think I might try to cook a miracle tentacle rogue on launch day. Miracle Yoggue letâs go!
Weâre probably going to see this guy a lot in the next month, Kazakusan style. Between tentacles and anomalies, the rng is going to be out of this world.
Yeah, we need to start asking, âWho will make a Chaotic Tendril deck?â Itâs a meme, sure, but people love memes.
EDIT: Also, 40-card Control Warrior stocks are on the rise, in my opinion. With all three new miniset cards, a value Control Warrior might be playable now. Still keep Odyn for good measure, though itâs likely worse than 30-card Odyn Warrior.
iâll build one for sure
Itâs strong.
I was conflicted at first, but this is a strong card.
Control takes this for sure, in a long game it can come down to 0 Mana and after using the ability you want you can follow it up with 10 Mana worth of cards. Even if it doesnât reach 0, you are still more than happy to play this card for 6-8 Mana, hell, even at 10 there are situations where you would play this.
This fits great on Spell based decks though. Sif Mage, Nature Shaman, Drum Druid etc. This can give another win condition for these decks for if they run out of steam.
As for its Power Level itâs good. A card that can be discounted to 0 with such strong effects will see play.
Reign Of Chaos: âMind Controlâ on a possibly 0-5 Mana minion with a 7/5 body on top. Also considering the prevalence of Titans, this makes it even better.
Induce Insanity: The perfect possibly very cheap aoe removal for a Control deck. With possible follow-up after.
Tentacle Swarm: The âiâve run out of steamâ option. I still donât think tendrils are good, and this is possibly your last option, but itâs good to have at least.
Donât sleep on this card. Itâs not just a meme.
Just dissapointed on its lack of a âYogg effectâ.
druid is going to love this guy perfect to fill the âremovalâ slot isnt it
i wonder how fast i would have to be able to get it to a reasonable cost on a priest deck to use its tendrils to get a bunch of 4 mana minions for 1 mana thx to star align
It should be relatively easy for a mage to reduce the costs, play the Titan and then copy it with âReverberationsâ. You can potentially destroy the enemy minions and also fill your hand with tentacles.
When you get the tentacles up to casting a 10 mana spell and then play a bunch of them all at onceâŚ
⌠well, go look at the (5) 10-mana spells in standard and realize how crazy that would be.
Especially when one of them casts the druid spell that casts 8 druid spells.
It would be crazy.
Well thatâs an auto include if any. looking forward to priest bs.
This is awful. Why do they keep making trash like this?
Just go play slot machines for real money if this is how you like to play.
Things like this just ruin any interest I might have in this game.
They need to fire everyone who works on this game and start anew with actual, competent people.
Tentacle swarm is by far yoggâs strongest hability.
Imagine the original yogg Saron but you can stop itâs battlecry the exact momment you want.
That is basically blackjack level gambling too.
Itâs so much stronger that it will be the first hability used most of the time once people realize.
Spell Demon Hunters be like:
I find it annoying that both The Primus and now Yogg have the keyword Titan when based on the Warcraft lore neither of these entities are Titans, not even close. Yogg is an Old God and The Primus is an Eternal. This is clearly just a design oversight because any card that has the 3 abilities effect gets the keyword âTitanâ. They could have just not had a âTitanâ keyword in the first place and there would have been no difference in gameplay while still keeping continuity with Warcraft lore.
I agree and I hate the amount of RNG they keep putting into the game, but Yogg is now kind of stuck with having some kind of RNG effect. There is something I do like about this design tho. You know the cost of the spell the tentacles will play, so there is some degree of skill involved in knowing what the tentacle you play might end up doing. Knowing the spell pool here is going to be key.
Of course, the specific spell and the target are going to be full rng but itâs interesting to know that, for example, the 9 mana tentacle can cast Front Lines, Scourge or Sunwell. I do like that thereâs at least some degree of agency involved even with all the extreme RNG.
So given that yogg can go below 10 mana I can combo it with cold storage and can pretty much make a rune of the archmage shaman deck that eventually casts 70 mana worth of spells in a single turn with a million tendrils
the lore of hearthstone doesnt match wow due to galakrond, its eternally fâed now
Can see all those self milling trolden clips inc.
fire why ?? they are giving us a card like one for those us who enjoy it and at the same time they give us cards with to build deck with little or no rng at all for those who enjoy that
choose your favourite type of effects and play those!
