New Warrior Legendary Minion/Weapon: Remornia

This looks really interesting.

You can manage a maximum of two minion attacks and one weapon swing on the turn this is played, unless you have some effect that allows your hero to attack more than once.

Its crabby for 7 for warrior with a possible reducrd repeatable effect each turn

This is so cool and has the possibility to be so busted if it works how I think it works.

It looks as if the weapon gains stats based on the minion, no? So you can heal/swap stats on the minion, it goes back to being a weapon with those stats…seriously…if it works like that, this is busted.

Play this, play the minion to swap its health and attack…this does 10 damage, goes to your hand and you swing and hit face for 10.

And that’s without being buffed. Imagine if this gets buffed in your hand. Not to mention this can also be like a draw 10 cards with Forged in the Flame.

It can’t possibly work this way, can it? Because if so…if so…LOL

EDIT: Just watched the video gameplay of this in action and it seems that what I described above is 100% how it will work, which means this thing is going to be busted bonkers good. I don’t think people are realizing the combos you can do with this quite yet as I don’t see anyone freaking out. You should also be able to buff this in hand…and then…

Rare · Minion · Core · Battlecry: Swap the Attack and Health of a minion.

GG get ready for warrior hitting you face for a ton of damage…as if their charge OTK stuff wasn’t crazy enough.

Yikes, that was a good catch there thinking about the buff possibility

Edit: only good thing is that it is rush and not charge.

Normally, this isn’t a problem in warrior…but now warrior has some handbuff stuff to play with.

Rare · Spell · Forged in the Barrens · Give minions in your hand +1/+1. (Upgrades when you have 5 Mana.)
Rare · Minion · Voyage to the Sunken City · Battlecry: Dredge. If it
Legendary · Minion · Core · Rush. Whenever this attacks, give +1/+1 to all minions in your hand.

Not enough to really pump this guy up in hand to be a problem for now…but the fact that a solid 10 damage to face with a weapon exists for 9 mana is cause for concern.

You forgot this card , i dont blame you i only remember because it was among the first cards i pulled from the set.
Legendary · Minion · Voyage to the Sunken City · Battlecry: Give all weapons in your hand, deck, and battlefield +1/+1.

I didn’t really forget that one because on Battlecry it doesn’t buff the minion in hand and the minion is a minion in hand, not a weapon.

So realistically, this isn’t ever going to buff this minion until after the minion is on board and turned into a weapon.

I don’t think the Crazed Alchemist strategy is going to be that impactful. Grommash + Inner Rage/Cruel Taskmaster is a far more reliable combo as well as existed in far more favorable metas yet I can hardly remember any complaints about that combo.

Now that this kind of card is possible i look forward to seeing it used further in the future. Maybe even on a hero card or something else.

If nothing else, it’s interesting.

To me, the best comparison is Inquisitor. Both are basically minions with Rush that then proceed to hit face the same turn with your hero attack.

The difference is that Remornia has effectively windfury the first turn and that it almost always remains in weapon form in opponent’s turn so it’s much harder to remove. But, on the flipside, it’s lower stats 8/8/8 is better than 4/10/7

The best comparison is crabatoa. 12 dmg divided in 3 attacks. In most situations crabatoa would be slightly better though.

Its a cool card but i dont think this is good.

3x4 damage on the turn you play it,provided it does not die in the process. It looks really good at first sight but something makes me doubt. It is a lot of value for 1 card and it will clear a lot of mediocre minions and it also has the potential for say 8-12 face damage over 2-3 turns. I dont know,it looks amazing if you do the numbers but i can see many situations in which this isnt that great. For example if opponent has minions with 5hp.

“The difference is that Remornia has effectively windfury the first turn and that it almost always remains in weapon form in opponent’s turn so it’s much harder to remove”

This also has windfurry and will be in weapon form on opponents turn.
You attack with minion, equip weapon, swing weapon, attack with minion again and equip weapon?

Ok so new Meme Combo in Wild with Paladin. Use Grimestree informant to get Remornia in hand. Reflecto Engineer to flip the stats while still in hand. Buff it a bunch with Hand buffs until its a 30/x minion. Then just run it into whatever it can hit and survive to equip the 30/x weapon. Hit opponents face and make then a crater and enjoy the tears when the forums fill with OP OP OTK Weapon pls nerf posts when you finally manage to win with this meme.

This is a minion, you attack for example a 4/4, kill and equip a 4/6 weapon, attack face, lose 1 durability and get a 4/5 minion with attack another 4/4 and in the end you have a 4/1 weapon? That is it?

Looks like a slight high cost rogue colossal with the upside is way harder to opponent deny the full effect.

I expected each time you get it back it’d come back as a 4/10 and if that’s not the case then it kind of goes counter intuitively against what other cards like this would do, but people are saying it carries buffs over so I’m unsure on this one, yes it does seem underwhelming if Hilander has it correct.

I have no doubt it works like hilander described it. Otherwise it would be broken. That being said, this card isnt bad. It might not find its place in a ctrl warr list but as a stand alone card it puts a lot of pressure on your opponent. It clears for 8 on the board and connect 4 to face. Potentially it even puts additional 4 dmg on board and face the next turn. Thats a lot of value and pressure in single card. The only disadvantage compared to crabatoa is that it gets worse the bigger the opponents minions get.

Yeah on the 1st turn as I said.

The reason I made that distinction is that this happens only the 1st turn,or to be exact only on the turns it starts as a minion, which should in general only be the 1st one.

Because from 2nd turn it starts as a weapon already. So you swing, and then the minion Rushes but the chain ends there (you can’t swing again).

I would not be surprised if they print a card that is like epic/legendary with text “if Remornia is on the field enchant it with x effect” or something else that effectively requires you to have a large collection of warrior cards of the set to become an enable for this to be good. Warrior has traditionally been the wallet class, outside of pirates/aggro strats.

It’s a 7-mana Crabatoa that synergies better with buffs which I guess is okay for a class like warrior. Not auto-include but decent enough.
