New Warrior Hero Card: Rokara, the Valorous

Honorable kill just looks so niche tbh. The effects you get from honorable kills don’t really show how hard it is to get against opponents who are aware of what you’re going for.

The same way I feel about the mage hero card.

Yeah that certainly would have helped the card. The blizzard way seems to be taking turns though.

A few expacs ago warlock was underpowered so they printed seedlock and broke both formats for a while and a deck that like took 6 balance tunes and nerfs and is still like in and out Tier 1-2 at 1k legends between various metas.

Before Warrior got the miniset, people were saying even post buff v1 pirates still sucked a week after and still asking for more. I guess the last patch might have bumped it up, but it was technically like only a 50.2-50.3% 1k legend wr deck the last vs report before the aggro druid nerf phase.

I guess it was going under refinement and a huge popularity spike like 1-3% to 20-25% of the meta though like quest mage had. Maybe the new shiny toy appeal but yeah. If you nerf the deck at the top, it’s only natural to expect the next #2 and #3 to rise since players don’t get deleted from the game, only recycled.

But i don’t mind losing pirate warrior if Smite or Quest itself gets nerfed. I’m just using it as a dust filler that i opened as a pack and i think a 40 dust common nerf would be pretty scamaz, but a 1600 dust Smite (Standard) or Warrior quest nerf (Standard + wild) would be pretty fair.

Lots of people have fair ideas like.

Smite: Battlecry: Give your pirates charge (Solves juggernaut rng problem)

Or quest: Reduction of rng or progress nerfs.
Etc: 3/2/2 pirates → 3/3/2 or 3/3/3 etc.
Or: Juggernaut: Summon a random weapon and pirate between 1-5 mana [Low roll, High rolls] or 2-4 mana [More consistent]. (No more Mr smite and gorehowl RNG reduction, while making weapon more reliable)

I guess you could also balance the weapons and pirates seperately as well. Someone out there could probably study the average weapon stats and average pirate stats of juggernaut and make it less highrolly. I think everyone hates feeling of “I topdecked patches OR i did everything i could anyways and my opponent just highrolled Smite and killed me from 20 hp on a empty board” Or “I only won since i got lucky” feels strange.

I think a lot of quests feel repeatitive since they start in hand. I admit, as much as anyone i was excited for good quests pre launch, but Stormwind has really oversaturated me 100 expacs worth. I’m up to have them all dusted and move on like anyone else really if we get a fair dust compensation out of it.

It sucks, but let’s not pretend Warrior hasn’t had a great time in the last couple of years.
