New Paladin Divine Shield Cards

Epic · Spell · Festival of Legends · Tradeable Convert a friendly Divine Shield into a 5/5 Elemental.

Turn 1 Sanguine Soldier, if your opponent doesnt pop it, make a turn 2 5/5. This seems insane.

Common · Minion · Festival of Legends · Divine Shield Your minions with Divine Shield have +2 Attack.

Can be potentially used for a burst. Has divine shield itself so hard to get rid of.

Rare · Minion · Festival of Legends · Divine Shield After a friendly character loses Divine Shield, draw a card.

Thats… A lot of draw. Unless you have direct removal you are going to get 1 just for trying to kill it.

My bad, I checked before I started making it but didnt see anything

NW, pure coincidence.

I think spotlight is pretty strong. I don’t really see why it has treadable. I don’t see many reasons why you wouldn’t want to use this asap if you’re running a divine shield package

Probably if you have no Divine Shield minions to use it on, which seems kind of rare.
But yeah, I would sacrifice a divine shield to summon a 2 mana 5/5 any day

I honestly think paladin has a few too many divine shield minions now. Literally every single minion they print for the class has the damn key word anymore… Like, some divine shield is perfectly fine. But this is getting out of hand. How the hell does ANYthing trade into paladin with minions or damage based removal. Even their hero gets divine shield now…

Yeah, this is bananas when you consider how many Divine Shields paladin can apply with just the cards it has now. Then consider that Righteous Protector isn’t rotating, and Hammer of Wrath + Hand of Adal are coming back as Holy spell fuel for Starlight Groove.

Pure Paladin is going to have a ton of draw. Forget the big paladin package with Kangor, just throw in these cards we’re seeing today and Pure Paladin is good to go. Instead of just having bonkers turns on ~5 and 6 or 7, now you can just take the game on 2 or 3 with Spotlight. THEN if your opponent can deal with the Spotlight elemental, start dropping the lightrays.

This is going to be insanely strong. Starfish is going to be in every deck twice.

Yeah, but I actually I like the way T5 is heading with Pally to make Divineshield more like Pallys keyword like Overheal to Priest or Combo to Rogue.

honestly all of those are very good card. Now the question is : can paladin actually hold the board long enough to make these work? Cuz uther tends to be out tempoed by turn 5 by pretty much every meta deck atm.

Lothraxion and Muster for Battle are also back in…Purator can draw the demon and Funkfin turns your recruits into threats.

Lothraxion is pretty slow and never saw play but this still exists.

Spotlight is absolutely crazy. Tradeable too? Jesus.

Ok…

Who else read the mulocs name wrong?

ADMIT IT! :stuck_out_tongue:

FunkFin

My man, we live in the world with “1 mana-discover a dragon, summon 5-5 dragon”.

Pure Paladin still best Paladin? Sure looks like it.

Dont forget the 3 mana spell that plops a shield out when you play a holy spell. For the rest of the game.

Summoning a 5/5 for 1 mana on turn 7 is different than summoning a 5/5 for 2 mana on turn 2

These cards are so strong wow paladin gona be meta for sure.

I’m wondering if your hero has divine shield from that spell and you play Spotlight on yourself, does it make a 5/5 and give you back your divine shield?

These look like good Purator draws too

To be honest after seeing these cards and the demon hunter cards the game seems to be moving in an unfun direction. Its all just aggro deck cards. The game has had enough of these sorts of decks throughout its history.

Good question. It’s poorly worded so hard to know which way it’ll fall.
