i think midrange shadowpriest might be workable with the 4dmg deathrattles and xyrella as the finisher, but guess it´s another 2weeks to find out.
at least it´s hard for the mage to silence those early deathrattles.

About time. Been waiting for this forever. Gonna have to figure out how to fit it into my reno mage list.
I’m not sure if you’ve played against the Rogues that I have, or if you play Rogue similar to how I do when you play against Priest, but you make sure you shadowstep that Wand Thief and you search for devolving missiles and completely wreck their deck. If you get this 7 mana spell as a Rogue against a Priest then you just hit jackpot. Rogue already gives Priest major problems, but the one saving grace Priest has is that Rogue doesn’t have a way to clear the board. With the new Rogue HP granting vanish (a deathrattle priest killer) and a way to not just delete all threats, but actively mess with the Priests rez pool at the same time, it’s going to be curtains for any Rez Priest playing against a Rogue.
This puts the polarizing classes at Warlock/Rogue/Mage already.
The hero power priest will get will be far outclassed by the one Mage is getting. Mage will have their hero power up to 5 within a turn. Priest isn’t going to be able to outlast Mage in that area.
Yes, it’s 7 mana. But it’s 7 mana that just tempo shifted the Priest dropping 20 mana worth of minions over the course of a few turns. That’s very significant. Landing that alone is game over. Your amulets won’t work and your N’zoth isn’t happening. Neither is your HP.
If you play 1 minion at a time, that’s exactly what a Mage wants you to do. Don’t forget about devolving missiles.
Might as well add Shaman to your list. They have Devolving, ways to find it, ways to repeatedly cast it, Hex, and a 5/6 minion that casts Hex.
I have played a lot of Rogue, trying to find Devolving vs Handbuff Paladin or otherwise, even having Keywarden Ivory in the deck, and it’s certainly not something you can always rely on.
You’ve made Priest work against Tickatus in the past, when everyone else had completely given up on that matchup, so my challenge to you is to make it work against this too.
Yeah, Shaman is bad as well, but luckily Shamans are more easily beatable because you can go wide against Shaman. They aren’t likely going to disrupt every deathrattle minion. You can actually bait a single hex or devolving missile. You’re not going to be able to do that against a Mage against a mass polymorph.
I’ll definitely be giving it a try, and I’d like to see the rest of the set as well. If we can get some sort of low cost deathrattle minion we would be set, but as of right now Priest Deathrattle minions that you want to run are all high cost and there’s not as many Deathrattle minions as it feels there should be. We’re gonna give it a go though and see what we can do.
With any luck, this spell won’t make the cut into BSM.
You’re in luck! We got a 4 mana priest Deathrattle Minion! It’s a massive 1/4 and has zero synergy with Call to the Grave, Xyrella, N’zoth or Amulet! Woo!
Yeah I’m a bit bitter.
Random aside, I wish Xyrella counted Deathrattles you triggered with Call to the Grave.
lol the 4 mana minion really is a punch in the gut, isn’t it?
I’m still bitter as heck about Palm Reading discounting my Condemn and then my Condemn transforming into the better version and getting rid of the Palm Reading discount.
I swear, they purposefully give anti-synergy to Priest.
Wait what? That’s a thing? Jesus Christ. I don’t own any Condemns anyway (RIP every priest AoE being Epic) but man.
Edit: We’re straying off topic. Mass Poly good vs Priest and Paladin, kind of meh vs everything else, so you will probably only see it in Big Spell Mage if those matchups are what they want to tech against. It has anti-synergy with Clumsy Courier and Parrot too.
Yeah…You play Palm Reading on turn 10…
…discover Condemn. It goes to 1 mana. Then transforms into the 3 damage condemn, back to 2 mana.
Same thing happens with a few other cards.
That’s actually a good point, but I’d imagine you just wait to play it as a tech card when you need to. Poor evolve Shaman is gonna catch the brunt of that too. And Big Demon Hunter.
What happens if you discounted Condemn on turn 3 or 4? Does it lose the discount on turn 5?
Yup. Pretty dumb, eh? haha
A good support card for big spell mage. But mage hasn’t good core cards for this archetype like it was Power of Creation or Puzzle box of Yogg’Saron earlier. Now it is only Mask of C’tun, we will get Rune of the Archmage, but I think it isn’t enough. The last of these cards like the card whose will be played not only in fun deck.
Good card for slow value metas. I like it.
Found the ammy priest
