Infinite discover tool for mages. Not as good as other legendary spells we’ve seen, but pretty useful. Probably an auto-include
No school, can’t get reducted, can get discarded by a full hand. 2 Mana to get a spell without a body.
Hmmmmmmm, in a core with Mana Giant or Mana Cyclone or something, maybe. Can’t see it being used right now, unless they reveal more things to go with it.

This card is bad.
Even with some synergy it gonna still be bad.
Because it’s finale makes it basically a 2 mana discover a card.
For that to be an actual card it should discover atleast 2 per use.

Waiting for the reveal of an 8 cost spell so this card can literally go infinite by itself (play 8 cost spell, use this to discover it again, repeat whole thing next turn again).
Could arguably work with a 9 cost too if we include the new minion that sets Max Mana and Hand to 11.

Yeah, no dice it’s used.
If you use it to “discover a card” it’s strictly bad. Discover a card is a 0.5-1 mana effect. The idea of the card is to be used when there’s two mana floating about, so it can keep recasting.
But there’s never two mana floating about unless you’re in a hard control deck, and mage, these days, does not have one of those. The nearest it has is the big spell package, which would work with the legendary but not with this card.
Even in those deck it’s just complicated.
When you generate cards the cards you actually generate are important.
This is why people kinda like discover for example.
In other words:
Play a bad card over and over again not makes it good.
It’s crap compared to every other legend I’ve seen. Team 5 is a pack of biased incompetents.
Yeah. Just like everything they give to mage, there has to be some caveat that makes it trash.
This is why I have stuck to secret mage for so many years.
It’s straight forward win or lose without the garbage,
and I’m sure Team 5 will murder it in phase 2 with their “Wild Improvements”.
God, Team 5 makes me want to vomit.
I like it, but I’d argue shaman rag spell is worse.

Yeah. Discover is at it’s bests when it costs less than 1 mana. Wandmaker, for example, had a 1 mana body and combo to activate discover, combo being worth about half a mana.
Mage HAD a pure discover spell, but it was 1 mana and discover from a limited pool of resources. No way I am paying two mana to discover something that may or may not be usable.
That’s like, galakrond priest whole strategy, and Galakrond Priest WR was dragging you out of resources. Mage can’t do that, currently.
Yeah. It’s trash. And anyone here who says differently is a bad player.
I can see where other cards might enable it to be decent, but even then you are forced to play/pay more for what other classes do with one card/play.
More classes need sh1t card. Wink Wink Rogue

I’m totally fine by mediocre cards. I’m not fine with step x5 with unknown amounts of objections.

It is obviously not an amazing spell, but the question is: why would you not want to include it? It is one slot and this can rest in your hand throughout the game to help you discover something if you are out of answers.
I understand saying it is an underwhelming spell. But trash or unusable is a bit of an overstatement.
edit: and I can’t see this being costed differently. Imagine this costing 1 mana. It’d be almost a ”For the rest of the game, discover a spell at the end of your turn”. This is a bit pricey, but 1 mana would be a bit much imo

I think the card sucks compared to every other legend spell I have seen.
