It has combo potential but i have trouble seeing it beeing viable.

And due to the setup turn it probably does not fit low curve burn decks as a hail marry either.

Original millhouse was a meme i think this will be no different. But maybe there will be something at one point.

I dont dislike the card but just dont think it will be that great

yes, but if you draw 2 pyros in opening hand, you most likely lost the game, would you add pyro just for this combo in a aggro meta, i think not.

Shoot now, id throw back my finishers at start of game. Honestly arcane defenders is only use i see currently

Tbh, this could just be slapped in a big spell mage. I know some key cards are leaving the scene (heh), but it would be no surprise if they printed some new ones to take the stage (ok, Iā€™ll get out).

because the spell are eventually going to cost 11 mana and more.

If I interpreted this correctly, this effect only applies to whatever was in your hand when you played this. So cheap spells affected by this might end up costing more but any spells you draw after this will have normal cost. Games are usually over way before turn 10 anyway so doesnā€™t matter much.

My questions are.

  1. If you draw a spell the turn after you play this, does that spell ALSO increase in mana cost by 1?
  2. If you have a spell that costs 0 in your hand when you play this and then you save it till next turn, will it cost 1 more too?
    Basically, Iā€™m wondering if Millhouse is keeping to his flavor of being a real monkeyā€™s paw of a card.

No, only the ones originally affected.

Yes, it should. So donā€™t play this with 0 cost spells in hand.

The ideal scenario is to play this when you have spells in hand that are all 5+ cost.

I think this card costs too much to care about unless the game slows WAY down.

If infinite stall mage becomes a thing, you can probably infinite shuffle 1 cost spells into your deck and then recast them all. Itā€™s going to break the game.

This is would be a great card to copy with that other legendary that takes a snapshot of your and and puts it into your deck.

The card definitely isnā€™t for me.

Bonelord Frostwhisper + this for insane amounts of many cheat and OTK? I doubt iā€™d be good considering the lack of survival tools mage has after rotation but if thereā€™s enough burn there could be something there. I havenā€™t looked into how much of the big spell mage support is staying but I know some important stuff is leaving so idk, could be rough.

So far im not keen on the idea of stalling whilst holding 10 costs for a late OTK, there must be some early synergy yet to be revealed, i really hope. Even if they introduce the 7 cost spell that reduces minions to 1 cost i dont see anything viable, the battlecry is also useless with bran who im not sure will still be in rotation. Other than freezing the board until late game im drawing blanks so far, really hoping we get some good spells from reveal.
