Does anyone know why there has not been a new board for the past 2 expansions? I used to really enjoy playing around on the board, finding all the little hidden secrets. I loved how I could play standard and see more of the new boards, then swap to wild and see all the older boards from all the previous expansions. It has been extremely disappointing not seeing a new board for 2 expansions now and I don’t understand what is going on or why anyone thought that that would be a good idea. Has there been a big announcement that I missed about why this is happening?

there was an announcement about it but no real good reason was given why.
None of the devs were allowed to speak about it leading up to the launch of Perils in Paradise then after the expansion launched they said on twitter an announcement is coming
Then came an announcement and they only promised 1 board a year now while bringing up the idea of having pets in the game.
Soon after they announced the Mythic Ragnaros skin for the hefty price of $60USD.
That’s their new philosophy now, I guess? ¯\(ツ)/¯

Because 60$ Rangaros skin costed to much so didn’t left any money for a real new board… However they managed to sell some of it… so…
Wow, that makes no sense why they would only do one new board per year. That comment about pets seems absolutely ridiculous for a card game. Fresh, new boards, new card backs, and different coin skins are all things that help keep every game a little different look and feel. Instead of some silly pet, they should release a board that we could customize and add things to from achievements or things from the store. That way everyone would be happy.
