Unfortunately the pic that comes in the email also shows Predatory as well, but yeah… more Big Spell Druid support seems to be on the menu.
Aegaeon I swear, let me delete mine next time lol. Your TL3 images look better!!

OP OP OP, what were they thinking???
6mana Kun
Oh joy. Are they just reprinting now…
It looks like Mana refill is back for Druid.
But then again, how much different is what you can do with this from what you can with Kael’thas or Ysiel?
This requires just one spell, Kael requires 2.
I think Big Spell Druid wil probably include minions, so I’m betting it won’t be as spammy.
Yes, you’d probably build it a bit differently. But in the end, you’re probably going to be doing similar things with similar power levels.
True enough.
Maybe this is meant to he played right alongside Kel as some form of payoff card redundancy.
I cant believe they thought hmm a class full of 0 mana spells, lets give them a mana refill for playing a single spell.
I am convinced they don’t test these cards at all, they just pull custom hearthstone ideas from a bucket at random and say yep, this ones it, also this played alongside biology project at turn 7 leaves you with 9 mana crystals so ramp+ refill all at once.
It is only four extra mana, though, because it only triggers once.
This is far weaker than Aviana-Kun was.
It’s at minimum a 0-mana 5/4. Still stupid good, but not as nutso as previously.
You pla y this on turn 10. Play whatever with your 4 other mana. Moonfire. bam, 10 mana. It’s basically Kun, but cheaper and on the condition you have a spell in hand of 4 mana or less.
Right, but most of the big combos aren’t all that much stronger for adding 4 mana worth of punch. A Malygos combo would have that four mana not buffed by his spell damage, for example.
I’m just not sure what a 5/4 and 4 mana really gets you, aside from some tempo that’s not even close to what a typical swing turn already generates.
Am I misunderstanding- isn’t this better Kun?
Spellburst: Whenever you cast a spell, trigger this effect. Or is it once per turn?
Once ever. This is far worse than Kun.
And, to be clear, Kun wasn’t the issue, it was Aviana.
Spellburst only triggers once ever, like Divine Shield.
The main difference with this and Kun is that Kun is easier to play with Aviana. This card can be combo’d, but not to the degree that Ysiel, Aviana, Kun, and all those other crazy cards can in Wild.
Plus this card doesn’t tutor with Psych Melon, which is half the reason why Aviana Kun still exists today. Let this card stick and you’re dead though.
If you can get this card to be tutored for 1 mana, you could find a way to play some big minion, this card for 1 mana, and then refresh your crystals, this could could see play. It’s more of a potential “put this card along with four other legendaries to cheat 50 mana in one turn” combo. 2/5 card.
I think you dormant this, then play Malygos and moonfire with swipes if I’m not mistaken.
On it’s own, this doesn’t seem that great, it’s basically a ‘free’ 5/4 on turn 6 or later, which is really not that big of a deal. Now if it can be cheated out really cheap with some other card, then it might become a problem.
Ooh, now we’re talking!
But spending ten mana to do nothing so you can win two turns from now is probably a bad plan…
Can we just appreciate how awful it is that this kind of a statement applies to the current game?
Your not wrong, but maybe they can afford a turn of setup against control decks. Against aggro you just play differently.
