Just took like 70+ dmg from HP druid.
Can’t play around Leroy summoning two whelps then he just takes your big taunt… Couldn’t clear a minion after that and took insane amounts of damage, bc he got another groovy cat from the one mana discover/summon card…
This is the dumbest patch tease I’ve ever seen. Really? Fizzle? After all this time? The card is only in a few decks and is certainly not warping the meta like other things are. What a stupid choice for nerfs all while ignoring every thing else.
Nerfing Fizzle is dumb but I won’t miss it. I’d even be ok with almost no nerfs but…
Why is no one talking about grunt hunter??? That deck can otk in turn 4 without a single chance for interaction. Why is this deck not addressed?
Sadly, this was expected. They would never nerf any of the miniset cards so early, especially since it was so well received by the players.
I think it’s hilarious they’re bringing Hawkstrider back to BGs… even nerfed in some fashion I feel like they didn’t learn ANY lessons from previous chicken metas.
So no buffs whatsoever?
Yeah, they just solidified shamanstone and dungar druid for the next month. The fizzle one wasn’t even the best shaman deck.
Yup. The Meta isn’t going to move at all in terms of power. If anything, it gets worse. Especially on if Shaffar change isn’t drastic.
I imagine the shaffar one will be. They don’t usually return things from a ban without breaking the interaction.
I think it really was. Both from the data afaik and in my own personal experience , this deck was a beast. I don’t think many people play it very well though.
Edit: I do feel it was weak against hero power druid. Or at least it’s the only deck I struggle with (and it’s so common).
It was a beast, however the swarm shaman version had better matchups against everything but warrior.
A fizzle deletion let’s warrior beat shaman, while they beat everything else.
FFS! Instead of changeing zergling to summon another zergling instead of a copy, so Fing tired of this ineptitude all around.
Infinite standard anything is bad.
I get why it’s being updated or changed and I’m here for it.
I’m not sure the meta is that out of whack, honestly.
The biggest complaints are about dk zerg, and when yodler and deathgrowl rotate it won’t be an issue.
What is it that you think was so oppressive as to require change?
I’m pretty happy they didn’t go after zerg despite the rable muttering about it because it’s not as good as low rank players would make it out to be.
If you can silence or hex their deathrattle buff guy, the deck pretty much folds to even moderate pressure.
I’m seeing void ray might get a buff? Protoss priest probably benefits most while hero power druid the least. The rest is somewhere in between
Dungar Druid, for starters. Completely stupid this wasn’t hit. It’s oppressive.
Another easy legend run for me this month it would seem.
the FFU deck is already probably stronger than the ultra greedy BBU one, so there’s no reason it can’t just adapt into a faster, smorcier gameplan.
Zerg DK has a complete stranglehold on board-based decks (other than shamanstone ofc) which is why the only other meta decks right now are degenerate. If you can’t cheat out 5 giants, Dungar sh–, or just smorc with weapon threatening lethal on 4, you lose the board to Zerg DK rn.
Doesn’t seem that way from the VS report I looked at. Seems like several things get under it.
I guess I’m not seeing it. I have no issues with it, but I mostly play shaman or paladin or weapon rogue, so I farm it.
The meta is basically all about avoiding your opponent playing their good cards rather than having an interesting game after they are played.
Wrong. Actually 1/3 top 1000 players are playing Fizzle-Shaman. It is objectively the most meta warping deck in the game. In top 1000 you are either playing shaman, or something effective against Shaman. 90% of the highlevel meta is shaped around this deck.
Zerg-DK is just a deck noobs whine about. It’s not even tier 1 and plays no significant role in high legend ranks.
