No, people shouldn’t be banned for life for using the flagging feature. That’s all your “brigading” is, is people using the flagging system as Blizzard intended. Yes, it was intended to be a popularity contest. The CoC being objective is just propaganda.

Any user may flag any post they wish. Unless they are abusing the flagging system by using multiple accounts or another exploit (which we already keep an eye out for), there is nothing inherently wrong with doing so.
No action, outside of a temporarily hidden post happens unless/until a forum Moderation reviews the report. The post is generally either restored or removed.
Discussing moderation is a violation of our Code of Conduct.
