I opened Hearthstone today and it notified me that the standard cards have changed. I then opened my Rogue deck to remove the cards that are not in standard anymore. One of the cards I removed was Vanessa VanCleef. Then I decided to keep that deck as wild so I went back to my collection to add the cards I removed, but now I can’t find the Vanessa VanCleef card. I’m very sure that I own this card because I play everyday and I always use that specific deck and card. I hope this can be fixed.
Vanessa is a Core card. Core cards are free to everyone, but they can be removed at any time. You will need to craft it if you want to continue to play with it now that it’s been removed from Core.
Cards aren’t removed from Wild. I’m missing other cards as well, such as Kalecgos. Vanessa is Legacy and Kalecgos is from Rise of Shadows.
I have almost all of the wild-exclusive cards except a few of the core cards that just rotated, including Vanessa. I still have my RoS Kalecgos
Why would we lose cards from promotions or reward tracks in Wild, such as Vanessa? Is this always the case?
Vanessa isn’t part of a promotion nor a rewards track. The Core set was introduced a few years ago to take the place of Classic cards in Standard. They are temporarily given to all players for free while they are Standard-legal. They can be changed at any time.
Here’s the most recent update from several weeks ago:
I see, I see. Thanks!
yeah my Vanessa Vancleef is missing as well from my Wild deck. my deck was saying i was missing a card. i went to go add it back in and it was totally gone as well
I have the same problem. I lost several non core cards through this problem. It seems that when searching the removed cards and having them on display while removing them from the deck, you don’t lose the cards. But when you simply remove them from the deck they are lost and can only be crafted again. These cards also show the tag “UNKNOWN”, “will be unlocked at level x”.
