You should change Rokara to only work on orcs because 99% of people running Rokara - leeroy - Smite combo makes it unplayable …. Attackint 20 times while gaining +80/+80 on two minions for 0 every second turn just makes every other deck absolutely uselles and it ruins all other cards and fun of playing

As I said elsewhere: I don’t think that’s officially true. Though the Devs probably admitted defeat, when they nerfed the XP to almost 0 practically signalling “never play this unless you must play this”.

there are much better combos, like doin Yshaarjs / C’thuns 3rd skills on 2nd round for example.

I do I am curently 12th in europe but that deck is just so frustrating when 3 out of 5 games is someone with that
They literally made an official announcement saying they would stop all support of mercenaries and will not receive any further updates. The mode is still there just to please whoever enjoyed it.

The thought of people actually playing mercenaries truly confuses me.
OK I finally found the blue post (for some reason google had to find a third-party site that pointed to the blue post).
I see no reason why they can’t do major QOL improvements like instant-scrolling-up to not have endless loading.
In fact that change would be so major to make it bearable that it may literally revive it (in part at least).
Mercenaries is dead… The last update was like over a year ago or something like that and they will never update that mode again. The only reason why they haven’t removed it is because people paid $$$$ to when it came out.
They’ll have to delete it sooner or later if they never update it, because it will look bad compared to the rest of the game being updated.
So the road of life has two directions; 1) delete it entirely within “soon”; 2) update it at least with major QoL improvements like instant-scroll-up (no loading screens most of the time) or be smart and enrich it with “Paper Mario”-like gameplay.
The bundles were the cost of expansions. And buying packs to try and build your mercenary collection was such a money sink that it was evident mercenaries only objective was to suck as much money out of people.
The mode had so much potential but blizzard royally dropped the ball and killed mercenaries before it ever got off the ground, with what felt like a rushed, unfinished product.
So they may get ride of it one day, but I don’t see it happening any time soon, and when they do… you bet there will be a lot of angry players who paid good money for a worthless mode.
They have already made it clear they are no longer updating that mode; officially Killing mercenaries.
Money grabbing is irrelevant in the big picture, because they can fix it now. It’s now especially annoying with the loading screens; I feel like I have an unbiased view on it because I only first saw it a month or two ago so it wasn’t filtered through any Press or expectations; it’s just exceptionally bad gameplay to wait on loading screens literally 50% of your time whatever difficulty you play (ok high difficulty has less loading but not everyone is non-“aggro”).
But you’re missing the point…
Blizzard has Officially stated they WILL not be updating mercenaries. So now matter how much it sucks for whatever reason, it’s done, dead, finished.
I’m sorry to say but it came directly from them.
And I understand how frustrating it is for some, but that’s how it is. I put money into mercenaries… and I’ve cut my losses and moved on. Everyone else who’s hoping for an update should do the same.
You must be dogmatic outside the game too.
I don’t care what they stated. Unstate it if it’s bad.
