As you mostly all know I no longer play in Standard, and you probably also know I have questioned the matching for years.
After noting this mornings’ matches, I thought it might be useful to attempt to demonstrate why I think it’s possible that there is more to the matching than Team 5 admits to.
I play mage and I am currently at Diamond 4.
Every month it seems that the matching gives me a majority of matches not based on what is dominating the meta, but rather, what beats my deck most often.
For instance; this month, Wild top decks are Warlock, Shaman, Mage and Paladin in Wild per HSR.
Seems reasonable that those decks would be what I would see the most of?
But instead; what I see is almost half Priests and Rogues.
This is not an unusual occurrence. It happens every month,
and I have observed this phenomena for years.
What I face does not reflect what HSR claims are the most successful decks.
That seems strange and unlikely to me.
I know that others have access to more data than I do, so I would love to try and learn why this happens invariably.
Perhaps if this is explained, others wouldn’t doubt the matching as often.

Download a deck tracker.
Go through the last 100 matches and see what are the class distribution.
If can, link that list here.
If you can do the above for a few months, would be better.

I have a deck tracker, but I’m not doing that. I have been down that road before, and been called everything but human.
I just wanted players to understand why some people might doubt the matching system.
The reasons are not as far out as some might imagine.
PS: I would be happy to SS my DT and you can see what I’m facing if it helps

It might be the way those information are presented.
Raw Data(not just a 1 line summary) is the most unbias information that can be presented for discussion.
It is also the most unbias reference where you can see if your theory proves itself, not blindly listening to others whom agree/disagree.

Fair points. Like I said; I am happy to provide the information, but I am not doing the legwork.
I have done it before, and when players cannot explain what is happening they get angry and accuse me of trolling, etc.
Telling people “i could proof my claim but i wont” is the reason, why so many people doubt people, who doubt the matching system
For some reason, there is always a reason, why people cant provide the proof.
My favorite was “I have the data, but i cant upload it, because i have written it down on paper and cant take a picture”

Just show the 100 games as shown by the deck tracker. (still a fair bit of work on your side) I am very sure many here can discuss over that.

I don’t think I can post SS’s. You have another way I can share my Dt?

I think SS is the easiest way. But, let’s see if the other forumers can help with any alternative form of posting those data.

You know me. My trust level is: “Public enemy” lol.

Your trust level is probably still higher than most of us in this forum.
And your trust level is probably higher among with some of your friends.
lol. Well; I don’t know a way to share DT information besides SS, and that is why I don’t present evidence.
I have been banned so many times I am probably on a list somewhere at ActiBlizz.
As in, posting it.
The company’s goon squad descends on such posts faster than locusts on a bumper crop, or politicians on a fundraising dinner opportunity.
And the mods are as absent on holding their coc violating posts accountable as politicians are on honoring their election promises after they win.
explain how I post a screen shot here and i will try

Posting li nks can be problematic if you haven’t reached their favored trust level. Which they implemented to make specking truth to power here more difficult. Because until recently, they were buddy buddy with one of the worst human rights abusers on the planet.
Because they can ding you, and you’ll never reach that coveted status, so posting a li nk might not be possible, unless you are creative.
Sometimes, direct li nking an image works, sometimes it doesn’t. If it doesn’t, you have to get creative in posting a li nk.
Well i see no tools on my post or screen to allow me to include images.
Try hyperlink or posting the link to the screenshot directly after you’ve uploaded it to somewhere that hosts images. You can’t upload directly, as they have forum code from the early 90s, because they can’t use modern forum formatting.
If it says you can’t post links…try reading my last post if you feel discouraged.

The next alternative is to send your SS to a fellow forumer that has Trust Level 3 to post it on your behalf.
i still don’t understand. How do I paste a SS on the forum page. I see no way to do that.
I googled the below,
Unfortunately, we do not accept any direct uploads of images into our forums due to copyright issues. You can however embed images into your posts/threads.
How to embed?
*1. You will need to host your images in other image hosting providers. There’s a few free options in the market such as www.photobucket.com
2. The image hosting provider will return you with a URL of the image that you’ve uploaded.
3. Use the URL supplied and enter into the form when you click on the ‘Image’ button in the editor.
4. That’s it. You’ve embedded your image into your posts/threads. You can embed up to 8 images per post.
