I installed HearthStone on my iPad (Pro, running latest iOS). When I hit “Open”, the app initially loads…but then shows an in-app dialogue “Download: Let’s go to the store to start the download” with an “Open” button. I hit that, and it goes to the App Store…which of course shows the app as already downloaded. So I hit “Open” again in the App Store, at which point the cycles starts all over again.
(I tried reinstalling the App, and restarting the device).
I usually play on my MacOS app. Since that stopped working with the patch today (that’s posted in another forum), I was trying on the iPad.
0 for 2 today on Apple devices, Blizzard. Geez.

Same here. Same endless loop. I opened a ticket but the suggestion to connect with my phone as hotspot didn’t work
Same. iPad Pro. Redirected to App Store. I hit open, then app crashes. Too bad. Wanted to start back with the game v

Same. How can this be so? I just “upgraded” to the iPad Air last weekend and everything is fine on my older iPad. How can the newer versions not work and older ones do? Came here to the forums to check before opening a ticket and I see this is a big problem and I see no blue posts anywhere…WTH
Trying to play hearthstone on iOS but I keep getting a message like“ let’s go to the store and download the game”but it just takes me to the App Store page that says open as my option
I have tried deleting and re downloading the game multiple times but keep getting the same message. Please help…

Same issue for me on iPad. I tried installing latest iOS software update 14.3, but that did not fix the issue. I also have deleted the app, reinstalled multiple times, as well as hard resets on the device.

I think it might have something to do with what IOS version you are running, I know that some iOS users am were able to download the patch, and one of em was running 14.1
I have the same Issue I downloaded the game several times now and it still gives me the advise to go the store and download the game but I aswell only have the option to open the game I hope for a respond or any type of fix if its a bug I love the game and its content so pls :C I only have my Iphone to play it on

Update 1/11: Blizzard says there’s a bug and it may take up to six days to resolve the issue. Six days weeps
When I open Hearthstone, I see the message “let’s go to the store to start the download” — link to App Store — open (bc obviously I have the most recent update already) — hearthstone crashes. I’ve tried deleting and re-installing app. I’ve deleted everything and restarted my iPad from scratch. I’ve created a new Apple ID. Nothing works. I tried on my iPhone, same deal. This started two days ago. I have played hearthstone on this iPad and same internet connection for two years. Been playing since 2014. I contacted blizzard help three times and they just send boilerplate about deleting and reinstalling the app or contacting Apple support (lol). Does anyone have any idea what I could do? Thanks in advance.
