Mage Decks Are dumb

Ok, so, I’ve just about gotten to the point where I auto concede against a mage with a token druid. They have WAY TOO MUCH! Board clear every turn for massive damage. High hero damage with spells. Tons of secrets.

Not to mention that many of these spells in this deck are just stupid op. 2 cost card x2 reduces the cost of all spells by 2 is ridiculous. So, for a typical mage that has 20+ spells in their deck, this practically gives them a free 40 mana crystals right at the start of the game. How is this even close to fair? Mages start turn 4 at turn 25, basically…

The devolving card shouldn’t even be in the game. Not only does this card change the minion type and the attack and defense, it also causes the card to lose all buffs. For a measly cost of 2? C’mon, seriously? I don’t think it would be as bad if mobs didn’t lose buffs, but the potential to pretty much reduce 3 cards to nothing is ridiculous. Such cheap removal against, say a 9 mana move seems quite harsh.

Just some frustrations I have with the current state of play. I can rarely, if ever, beat a mage with a toke druid. At least with any other match-up, I feel like I have at least a chance. When I see a mage, I pretty much chalk it up as a loss before the match even begins.

Something needs to be done about it. I have also played aggro shaman, face hunter, and a little mid game demon hunter. Any time I have come against a mage with these and the druid, it’s always a loss.

Not to mention, that it seems I run into a mage probably 50% of the time.

Thanks for listening to the rant. Constructive comments are welcome, of course.

Calming down… calm… breathe… cca…

Yeah, my Warrior is an autoloss to all mages. Five armor secrets in one game (40 armor), 0-1 mana devolving missiles ruining all my beautifully orchestrated synergistic mobs, flame strike, multiple solarians, high roll rng left and right. And the game cues me up against mages the majority of the time to keep my rank progress oscillating.

Exactly! And it’s like every single turn they have the option of clearing boards…

I play mage and Token druid is one of my worse match-up, you must be doing something wrong.

If the mage deck is dumb, then what do you call a druid deck that always loses to the mage deck?

That has been my unending frustration since Barrens released. No matter what class I am playing against, any of my minions that could make a difference are fairly much guaranteed to die before my turn comes back around.

Well, I love my token druid. I have always enjoyed playing it, but I had to make some changes. I ended up making a super aggressive face hunter, and I have ended the last three mages I’ve faced by turn 6.

This is literally the only way I’ve been able to beat a mage.

Dumber?

The only Problem in this Deck is: Refreshing Spring Water! If they would nerf this Card the Deck would be fine!
