You know; if every classes’ cards were as limited as these are, then I would be ok with that.
They aren’t . hidden object is still paying full price for a 3 mana secret.
I exaggerate, but by comparison, other classes get cards that are like:
We aren’t biased at all
1/1/1 combo: if you played cards before this, destroy your opponents’ board and deal 30 damage to the opponent. Double damage if that opponent is a mage.
My money is on this being buffed to 4 mana within a couple weeks. But it’s got synergy with Watercolor Artist, if by “synergy” I mean “complete dependence on.”
Again, I’m betting this gets buffed to 4 mana unless we are specifically getting Freeze synergy. Helps with the Elemental chaining, though.
Cool for tutoring Frost spells, and delayed mana-cheat. A fair card.
I agree that in modern hearthstone both sleet skater and frost lich should probably be 4 mana. I’m not entirely sure that these cards are what pushes elemental mage over the top
A worse version of Steam Guardian even though it’s printed after it. Doesn’t directly discount like Steam Guardian does and the 1 Mana increment compared to Steam Guardian apparently isn’t enough to at least give it premium stats to compensate. Look at the two cards and Watercolor Artist loses in everything. Costs more with the same effect, more expensive to craft, worse discount, can only draw Freeze Spells compared to Steam Guardian’s more universal usage.
Please someone inform me why it’s an Epic. What’s so epic about this guy compared to Steam Guardian that I need to spend 400 Dust to craft it.
Frost Lich Cross-Stitch
An 1-mana ‘Deal 4 to a minion’ because that’s the requirement to not be considered a 5 mana ‘Deal 4’.
You could push this to 4 mana surely. Water Elemental in 2024, give it some space to see play, 5 mana is a lot.
Sleet Skater
This is just bad. With 4 Health it’s ‘5 mana 3/4 freeze a minion.’
Very weak.
