Lore/Story Question

I may be in the minority, but I’m all about the story and lore of Hearthstone. I have some thoughts about what are the modes that actually have story/lore. See my below ranking.

  • Solo Adventures - Obviously contains the most lore/story
  • Mercenaries - Has some dialogue and other story elements, but is no longer being actively developed i.e. I don’t think I will play it
  • Standard - Art, flavor text, and sounds all add a bit to the Warcraft world
  • Battlegrounds and Duels - I’m putting this at 0% lore/story

Does this look correct? Have I missed some epic story in Battlegrounds? :joy:

I would put Mercenaries next to Solo Adventures, since there’s an initial questline that acts like a storyline which guides you through the different zones.

I tried to play a bit of Mercenaries and you are right. There is quite a bit of dialogue. I’m going to update my list.

I don’t think I will actually play any Mercenaries though since they have decided to discontinue development of it.
