Legacy cards dont show up in wild filtering?

As the title asks, why do I have to filter by legacy to see those cards, even when searching by card name? Wild is all card sets and legacy cards are allowed to be played in wild as all cards (outside of the banned one) can be played in wild. It makes no sense (that I can tell) why - if Im on wild mode (all cards allowed mode) and I search for, oh, say… Pyroblast, that I should see not just the core card versions appear (2 normal, 2 golden) but also my original 1 from legacy should appear too. Yet I must look for the not Core cards by the legacy set filter only, and they will not appear in any other search option.

What am I missing about this that makes this make sense?

What detail am I missing that explains this away?

I wonder if it’s because so many people would get confused and dust the legacy one thinking it’s extra and then complain when the core one rotates out and they no longer have any copies at all.
