can someone explain to me why blizzard tiptoeing around Keywords in there cards of late?
like look at all there cards no one can tell me that Commencement is not really Recruit a minion give it Taunt and divined shield or that Watch’s brew is not echo restore 4
why does blizzard does this I what here the 100% justification for this because it seem less work for them if they do keywords also no one forcing them use all the Keywords if someone did I beat we hath more charge cards back to point I really see no Justification for them not to use them
fact is without use Keywords making more work for them self’s and Triggering people like me who using there sunday talking about this
last: why can’t they update few old classic cards to say Rush instead Charge battlecry: can’t attack hero this turn (we all know card I’m talking about)
Well Commencement is not recruit as recruit pulls the minion from your deck. Commencement makes a copy of it. (I think it summons a copy anyway) And Recruit dont add stuff to the minions recruited, Commencement give it different additional abilities.
EDIT: Googled it and it does not make a copy.
The reason the Dino does not have rush is because if you recruit/summon it it can attack face. It is the Battlecry that makes it not able to attack heroes so if you never actually play it it has charge.
what no how can I loose to a card that can’t go face i ran into it and idk why but it set me off fact it has charge instead of rush when it battlecry basically make already a rush
in other words no real Justification
it say summon from your deck a minion so no not summoning a copy your summoning minion from your deck so it is a recruited
havent seen the text you are suggesting but im guessing itll be a bit confusing to write one explaining the card has the word "rush " and is able to attack face on the same turn if summoned by another card
The justification is to not overload standard HS with keywords that a new player would need to learn. So they only keep those keywords that they are planning to use a lot, like “rush” and “discover”, in any other case they prefer to put the full text.
It’s to stop new players from having to learn 20 keywords.
How would a new player know what Witch’s Brew does if it just said “Echo” rather than “Repeatable this turn.” It’s the only card of it’s kind in Standard right now, so it doesn’t need a whole Keyword to itself.
Yeah, but anyway, keeping only the necessary keywords and those that add to the fantasy of the expansion, is better than having 4 cards with an unnecessary keyword.
do know key pop up on side card explaining what they do right?
so ya 100% not justification for it just blizzard over all like spending hours writing card text
stay on topic
no just because I play Witch’s brew and idk why but it set me off that could of save secs of my reading time by add word echo (idk why it trigger me on that day but it did also no longer idk wtf with me or what with blizzard)
