The colorful things i would say to you if i wasnt besieged by the terms of service would make a seasoned minstrel blush.
Ha! I win! Dances in front of you laughing while doing so
For anyone who does not get the “Spike” reference:

I would describe myself as a Spike-Johnny hybrid, because it’s rare for me to not make some immediate changes to even the best netdecks.
Personally, I am not a fan of a prolific amount of badly balanced and designed cards, uninteractive gameplay, slot-machine-like RNG win-mechanics, or a Yugioh-style CCG.
I think many developments by the devs tend to diminish the quality of Hearthstone rather than make the game better. That’s why at ten years of development, I find HS no longer worth spending money on.
I think if the development continues on its current path, most players will feel as I do in the next 2 to 5 years. At which point, it’s going become a lot more difficult for Hearthstone to turn a profit.
I also think that if the devs do not significantly improve HS within the next two years, they should work on improving their resumes.
guess that makes me a Johnny/Spike
You don’t like CCGs. You like slot machines. If you like slot machines, hearthstone is great. If you want a traditional CCG, you’re in the wrong place
What johnny spike tommy Bahama am I? Currently I’m playing the Rogue Banana Watch Post Tower Defense 5 deck
you’re a Johnny/Spike too
There is a sizable population of players who are just looking for a refresh of some golden age they long to return. One where the class and type of deck they liked to play was king.
Even if the playstyle still exists, shifting these deck types to other classes does not make them happy.

And I personally think that’s dumb. I don’t care which class has what. I think there are certain things that should stay in a class, like damage yourself should be a warlock thing cause it just makes sense. or like stealth should mostly be rogue(even tho stealth is kinda a bad keyword now).
People have stopped playing. So much so that blizz had to implement their own bots to keep queue times down. Long time HS streamers have said goodbye and now their budget is being cut. The devs have destroyed the game and are just clinging to the last few idiots dumb enough to keep playing.
What you are referring to is called addiction. And the vast majority of people that struggle with addiction does not go to a therapist. 60-70% of all live service game players struggle with addiction, they don’t play it because it’s fun, but because of psychological reasons.
Did you know, AAA game companies hire psychiatrists in order to make a game as addictive as humanly possible. Battle passes, Quests, Limited time rewards, time pressure, sound design, color palette, etc.
There are a lot of malicious tactics you don’t see if you’re not aware of them. Especially not kids or their 9-5 working parents.
In reality while the numbers are lower they aren’t that down.
The bots where implemented because HS matchmaking used to use the rank to match you outside of the legend rank but since it was made to arficially inflate your rank it was almost impossible for a human being to stay in low ranks when they bots where implemented.
Therefore they needed the bots to be matched against new players.
Yes I do. And I don’t mind that at all. If Blizzard shuts down this game, my life will be fine.
I don’t know if I am addicted, but I had a really hard time breaking free from the game because I know you can’t really just come back. Then I started playing brawl stars and I feel it is the same, it has taken me a year and a half for 10 maxed brawlers and to quit that also means by the time you come back none of your characters will be relevant. There aren’t many games that don’t feed on your addictions. I tend to be able to save money while not paying for a game, so much so that I have finished paying off my apartment now, but still everything feels trivial when you are just trying to coast by with spending as little as possible.
Yes, you are addicted.
It’s not that fun because only 3-4 classes have strong decks and the rest have sub par and can’t compete well at higher ranks.
So this forces everyone in ranked to play the same deck 100x over a season.
It used to be fun but its just turned into an RNG mana cheat bonanza… At this point might as well just try a slot machine simulator.
Marin was a mistake, sonya was a mistake, everything involving druid and warrior for the past 9 months has been a mistake
Its just sad where the game has gone… it used to have some thinking involved
Hope you can break free from this vicious cycle brother. Addiction is a real problem and has ruined so much, for so many people. Addictions are usually a result of something we are avoiding or running from within or without. To solve an addiction one must first accept themselves, fully. I have not broken free yet either, but I am trying.
Power creep has gotten so out of hand that Wild cards that were perfectly fine aren’t safe anymore from being ruined/killed.
