Is there no way to win if you're casual?

To anyone who might think this game hasn’t changed much in terms of how easy it is to win, they are mistaken.

There used to be solid decks that even someone like me with lackluster skills could use to win 60% potentially of the time, but as this game has gone along Blizzard has made it increasingly hard for casual players to win.

This season highlights this 100% Used to be I could count on 6000 MMR in battlegrounds and pretty much a given that I could get to silver 5 in wild ranked with the like tops of 1 hour I play each day.

This season I’m struggling to get to 5500 MMR and past silver 8.

This game is becoming less casual friendly. Playing wild you face too many opponents who have 8000 different ways to screw you over due to all the bad cards that have been added over the years.

Battlegrounds is now worse than ever. Evidenced by them changing poison to venom, having to change it so the max damage you take to 15 at first. This shows they know that the best players have gotten better and they don’t care that this makes the game less fair to those of us who are average at best.

As long as they can keep getting us to buy stuff weekly with all the new shop drops weekly that is all they care about.

Change my mind.

Your statement is statistically impossible. If you win 6 out of 10 times then who is losing?

Unless you want the Blizzard-run bots back.

Did you not my read my entire post? I said in the past there have been times when I could win 60% of the time based on a hot deck, but since wild continues to be added to it seems it’s becoming more and more unlikely for that to be true for casual players.

Secret pally was a very long time ago, but also OP for it’s time. Any deck you go with now seems to run into too many other OP decks.

You are talking about casual gamers. If you are winning the majority of the time then who are the casuals who are losing when you play with them so that you win?

The only logical conclusion is that in order to do that: you must not be more casual than them and some casuals must lose most of the time.

The only other ways to avoid that is to play with Blizzard-run bots designed to give you free wins, or to get preferential treatment.

tbh you can win as a casual with normal and wild as long you dont expect to be one of the top tier players. i play nothing but shaman since the start of the game and pretty much run the same deck since the start of the game with some small changes over the years. i still have mechs from goblins vs gnomes for example and some basic spells.

You just need to find some kind of deck you want to go for and then add and remove things over time to see what works or if you get or craft the card you want. Sure getting the legendaries you want can take a while but if you focus on just one class to main you can just disenchant cards from other classes to get what you want

And well battlegrounds are ina very terrible state now, but you still can win as a casual. Sure every big patch you might need to play and see what changed. But in battlegrounds even no lifers can get screwed over by bad rng

I don’t know why I come here to post anything.

If I say green someone else has to say, nope it’s red.

Like I haven’t gotten 1st place in a battleground in the past at least 3 months. It used to be possible, but what do I know?

if you care so much about mmr …then you arent a casual player…
