Is there a counter for dragon priest besides dirty rat?

it seems everytime i fight againts dragon priest im playing a race between him getting his dragon cards with both their tutors or me trying to beat his walls before he double turn kill me.

and when i play dirty rat on turn 8 it never gets the double turn dragon :frowning:

Aggro with removal, I’ve had 50/50 winrate using imbue druid if I draw well. Because more often than not Zarimi priest uses imbue, which removes their healing hero power

i have been fighting on rank 1000 legend with just healing power priest, im using location warlock by turn 7 i have 2-4 8/8s and i lose lol.

That’s not necessarily wrong. It’s wrong if it’s overtuned. I saw them a bunch of times the past few days and they won a lot but 2/5ths of the time they lost.

But I’m playing new decks for achievements in Standard now, so they might not be that great if I had a netdeck and focused on it.

They have a bunch of minions, so it’s not good to use rat at all. If fact this entire meta is not good for rat maybe with the exception of very niche decks like food fight warrior.

god dang it, so its a “beat them before they combo” situation, dang.

No. The rat is just mediocre, if their entire hand has 2 or 3 alternative plays that don’t rely on one thing the rat would pull.

The best netdecks never die because of losing one card anyway, they have a chance with the rest of the deck.

Rat only works if you can make a few copies and predict when they’re about to drop their combo…

Not to mention it takes up 1-2 spots in the deck, more if you include means to make copies

Tried aggressive Imbue Mage? Worked for me. 13 wins in a row today, about 1/3 Zarimi priests.

keep track of the dragons played

rat can help(hitting naralex or zarimi helps but if hits a dragon it may delay zarimi enough for you to win because they need to play them ) and warrior with bullwark (again keep track of your opponent played dragons)

Bulwark is how i stop them from dropping it early. Not a hard deck for control warrior to beat.

i play location warlock mainly with some Leech DK and Protoss Rogue to shake things up

Forced to play aggro now. If you enjoyed mid/control decks maybe come back next patch. I uninstalled and found much better games glad I did. #Firethedevelopers
