Is streamer mode only cosmetic?

Hi guys, Does this actually hide my nickname for the opponent or just for my screen? Since I have the: “TV” on it there’s a chance that I could be “sniped” while playing. The “TV” look usefull in games like OW but in HS is just a disadvantage

Offline mode hides it from your opponent’s view, streamer mode only hides it from your own view.
