Yes, but only their nerfed form, not the original form which was playable in Classic format. Some of us spent resources in just the last year or two unlocking these cards with the understanding they would be playable in their original form for the life of the game and now they’ve effectively been nerfed for us all over again.

Been playing Hearthstone since beta and Classic was the only thing that kept me around.

All my Classic decks are golden from years of playing and now the only way I can experience and play Classic is through Wild. Offically quiting the game, Goodbye!

The new mode is very fun I am really enjoying it. I wish they didn’t print horrible cards that ruined wild (unless you enjoy belly shaman and Tony druid mirror matches), but I guess we at least have something playable now.

I quit WOW because of the stale content, unsubscribed, but heard about hearthstone classic being back, so I renewed. After apprentice mode, which took some time, I read that they’ve actually removed classic now. Well, bye, bye.

Hearthstone is so big now it’s hard to keep up, and I’ll never ever start playing that new styff just to lag behind since I refuse to spend gazillions on packs.

No, you can’t — some of those cards have been changed (see also the comment below), and you can’t experience them as they used to me.

What’s more, with the insane ‘power creep’ that’s apparently present in Wild (I don’t play it, hence this little disclaimer, but that’s what I see), those original cards would probably be laughable in terms of competitiveness.

PS Yeah, I appreciated it that Chillwind Yeti was considered one of the best minions stat-wise in the game, for example.

One more thing: alright, some of the cards in Classic were not exactly the same, let me self-quote a little:

Second, as we know, at some point, namely Patch 14.6.0.31761, a number of cards have received new arts (reference below) — either less gruesome (Deadly Shot, for instance) or more prudish, all in line with the ‘bright, vibrant, and colorful’ art style befitting dino movies targeted at five-year-old kids (self-plagiarising here a bit, sorry, but what of it), once again, all of it very ‘family-friendly’, apparently. In that case, however, what’s up with all those ‘horryfying skulls’ and such here? Gimme Nemsy with peaches instead!

Undead tags in Classic format

It seems some cards in Classic format have accidentally gotten the Undead tag, for example Spiteful Smith and Kidnapper. Seems like an error, especially considering some other Undead are still untagged in the format, like Sylvanas and Bloodmage Thalnos, and it obviously wouldn’t even make sense for them to have the tag when everything’s supposed to be like how it was in 2014.

While reading through that topic, I also rememvered The Beast, by the way.

But still, despite these minor cosmetic differences, the game still mostly was and felt the same. Even those original battlefields — for me it was nice playing on them again.

Stuck in twist mode cant return to classic

im a new player and I accidentally pressed on the quests for twist (but i cant even play twist since im still not bronze) so now im basically stuck in twistmode and there is no way to return to classic mode, so basically i cant play the game at all now

Maybe they can’t change the intefrace for the new mode to fit — the competence for such a task no longer present in the developer team — so they decided to cut it. Or mayble they wanna reduce the load on their servers (maybe ban all those bots instead, eh?) or avoid the hassle with a ‘mirrored’ collection — but then why if they have already implemented it in the first place?

Or maybe because you’re supposed to spend more?

It’s comparatively not that hard to build a full or at least playable Classic collection and enjoy it indefinitely. Of course, this atrocity will not do, especially for such a company, known for its generosity, people should spend more, so shut it down!

(Assumes a crazy goblin voice, think Dr Boom’s level of craziness and Gallywix’s level of greed combined) So yeah, cheapskates, enough of this nonsense, you should buy more packs! Buy, buy, buy! Did I mention buying more?

Oh, did someone mention the event? That is, the bugged one, awarding no XP for ordinary gameplay?

Not gonna bother with your ‘Twist’ even if you (addressing Bli$$ard here, in case someone didn’t get it… On these forums, even the most obvious matters require an explanation) dangle such a ‘carrot’ in front of me (see also this post, for example, about such little psychological tricks to ‘hook’ you), especially a rotten, i.e. bugged, one. Go twist yourselves!
