Logging in on my phone I get the checking version blue bar, then it tells me to open at store to start the update. When I do that the only options are to uninstall or open the game. When I open the game I get the checking version again and go back to the open game or uninstall option. Over and over…

Did you resolve this issue? My game is doing the same thing.
the default goto response would be clear your cache, make sure you have enough space for the update and finally try a fresh install when you have wifi available
