I can’t play on either Windows 10 or IOS. For the past 12 hours all game modes go to “Reconnecting to game” and eventually either time out or crash.
On Win10 if you click the “Exit Game” button it crashes instantly.
If you let it go a long time sometimes it eventually says it was unable to reconnect, but then if you try to playing any game mode at that point it will hang or crash or say it is reconnecting again.
This persists across logging in, and on two different platforms, so it looks like there is something in my game state that is triggering a pretty nasty bug.

I have the reconnect Problem too with my Honor Play Phone (Android). I tried to reinstall the game and it didn’t work. What do I do?

The game já disconecting on IOS. Can’t play on mobile.
I am still 100% unable to play Hearthstone.
I’ve tried from a different network now, and when I’m in the lobby I tried switching to a different solo scenario, but still always ultimately failing with the “reconnecting” hang/crash.
I don’t think there’s anything else I can try on my end.
I have the same problem on android. I think it is because I was in the middle of a Tavern brawl that doesn’t exist anymore. It keeps trying to reconnect, saying unable to reconnect and then crashing in play modes.

Normally this error should go away within 5 minutes. Though since you mentioned getting past the error and still having a new/different issue after that I went ahead and did some digging on the account itself.
I was able to verify an account issue in your specific case and have escalated it accordingly.
Once again, the error message “Reconnecting to game” is normal and will go away within 5 minutes of being idle on the screen. If any other players are having this issue please try waiting out the screen without closing the game. If any new/different issues come up beyond that please let us know.

Game crashes every time I try to put a card down. I can pick them up, but as soon as I try to play it on the board, immediate crash, every single time. Windows 10.

i have same problem. When I enter game, I got message “Reconnecting to the game…”, I wait few minutes, and then new message appears “Unable to join…”, and then it let me to the game. But moment when I try to play new game I got kick into longing screen and same message appears “Reconnecting to the game…”. I try to reinstall game on my mobile, nothing, I install HS on another PC, and got the same message. Its seams that mine (ours) Id is stuck in some kind of loop, and trying to connect to last tavern brawl, because that was last game that I played.

Yes, our accounts are broken. It apparently is not easy to fix as they’ve taken over my account twice, apparently to reproduce it, and it still doesn’t work. Maybe when the tavern brawl resets it’ll work again.
There are probably a lot more people that can’t play than just us two. It’s a little embarrassing that they have had this problem in the past and didn’t fix it in a way that prevents it from reoccurring. (Speaking as an ex-programmer.)

We have confirmed an account related issue affecting multiple players at this time. We’ll post updates as we have them for you, but our developers have been notified and are investigating the underlying cause.
We don’t currently have a work around for the issue unless you like playing in multiple regions. To determine if you’re suffering from this bug, Kaldraydis mentions the difference between the normal reconnecting loop and the bug here:

Yeh had this happen to me and lost two ranked games because of it, I started searching for the game and before I had even got into the game, hearthstone crashed when I came back into the game it says I lost a ranked game both times.

Playing on iPhone and after some matches the game simply crashes, then when I try to reconnect the game keeps on crashing.
When this happens, gotta wait for some minutes and try to enter again, but the games are lost already.
It is happening a lot, and I think it started with the last patch.
It’s a bit frustrating cause I usually reach legend every mid-season and this month I may get stuck at rank 1 thanks to this issue…

I wanted to clear up what the issue is, since this issue is different from the standard “reconnecting…” issue. The reports on this thread is reporting when trying to start a another game mode (ie. Solo Adventure/Practice), it completely restarts the game client and gets stuck on the title screen or it crashes. We can replicate this issue on our end, which the recent hotfix should have resolved.
Try the following steps to replicate the issue:
- Exit Hearthstone and the Blizzard Application.
- Login and wait for 5 minute until the screen states “Attempting to reconnect.” It should then say “Could not reconnect.”
- From there, start a Solo Adventure or Practice match and then concede.
- Restart Hearthstone and it should be working again.
If this helps clear the “Reconnecting…” issue, this is different from the issue that is reported on this thread. If it continues or you are experiencing the title screen issue, please contact our Customer support team.
Ive had the same issue come up multiple times now while playing the witchwood. My game will crash suddenly during play and when i reopen it says it’s resuming my game and immediately crashes. I’ve deleted the app, logged out, and nothing works. It’s to the point where i can’t open the app and it only goes away after 2-3 days of not opening the app. I’ve contacted customer support and haven’t gotten a reply for over a week. Thank you if you take the time to view this, i really like the game And I’m on the boss fight of my last witchwood character.
The major differences im noticing between my issue and theirs is that mine goes from trying to reconnect, to reconnected and resuming within seconds and then immediately crashes rather than be stuck on the screen. It won’t open no matter how many times i delete or close the app, and it persists for multiple days without allowing me to even open the app longer than a minute.
