In what world does printing spell freezing trap make sense?

hunter is stupid to play against they are unloading on the board and my only counter it being able to cast spells and I can’t because

Freezing spell

Freezing spell

Freezing spell

Freezing spell

Freezing spell

now I wasted like 10+ mana trying to cast spells, all while taking damage every single turn , while having every single thing I played removd and then to top it off Summon 4 clefthooves, they all go face ¬_¬

this is worse than the druid combo you guys deleted out of the game ? remember that one?

god knows why you would print such an oppressive spell and let them also have an improved version and play it like 6+ times, don’t care if its in the meta or not, I played against it and its bad!

Play Kazakusan.

There, problem solved

The solution would be a more varied meta, but the current team clearly isn’t that creative. One could hope microsoft would get things in order, but so far they’ve only posted about “muh candy crush” and woke nonsense. It’s a wonder they can keep their company oging.

Unless they cast freeing on the spells.

the best way to beat a hunter is to have a bigger board than them.
Hunter is bad at defending against minions, so you can put them to 0 health very easily if you can trade their minions and have a bigger board every time.

Spells are just the easiest way to deal against hunter: you avoid piercing shot and trampling rhino, while you still protect your total health.
But it comes with a cost: you are vulnerable to one secret and one neutral card, that’s it. You just have to realize they can counter you with these 2 cards and play accordingly.
No game is a free win

that’s your fault for not playing around it.
Unless you have a deck with very few spells (like I do in recruit hunter), you could have used your small spells first.
If I have guardian animals in my hand and the hunter opponent has a secret, I prefer to develop my board with a minion instead of “maybe wasting 8 mana do nothing”; it’s a risk I don’t want to take.

If your deck has only big spells, no small spells nor minions, then it’s the deck that should be changed

if the game goes on for this long, then the hunter is struggling really hard :joy:

What is this supposed to mean?
I don’t care if priest is meta or not, so I just concede against them: do the same against hunter if you don’t like them!
Don’t expect cards to be nerfed just because they stop you bad plan of playing big spells without caring about the opponent’s secrets.

Secrets are one of the few things you have to play around and unlike discovered cards, they are very well visible on the screen when played!
When I am against a mage, I always play around counterspell; I almost never play against mirror image, because as trump once said “it is a bad secret, no one plays it. If they do their deck is bad, so I assume their deck is good and don’t play around it”.
If I get punished for it, it’s my fault (or trump’s fault  ), for sure I don’t blame the existence of a secret I know exists and I know how to play around.

I’m not even sure he’s playing hearthstone anymore, but the real loss was disguised toast.

Pressing F for all the great streamers no longer playing.

::shakes fist at crappy devs::

I miss him, too - esp. after his “ironic return” this month, just playing to legend and vanishing again. But let’s be honest, he almost tripled his viewership on twitch while not playing HS.

In the end a found a much greener pasture.

There are Big Beast Secret Hunters with Tavish that reach turn 10 easily, if allowed. Six Ice Traps is a “slight” exaggeration, though.
