I want a format free of nerfs

Fair lol, alcohol does usually make things weird. If I had to guess I’d say your friends might actually be playing Commander, which is one of the most diverse and lightly banned formats in Magic (still balanced mind you, but very high power level if you want it to be). It’d explain the big plays and the diverse archetypes for sure.

I still don’t know why everyone seems to get so mad over me asking for a format that allows original cards. It doesn’t seem all that hard to pull off and the memes would be really YT worthy. I know that you couldn’t have a tournament or even ranked play, but just for funsies it seems like a cool idea to me.

Then how do you know they played with the cards as printed before the Errata? For all you know, they can be playing with the updated rules? There’s a difference between playing with pre-errata cards and out of print cards.

I do ask questions you know. Though i am not an MTG player We do converse and share information…
As I said before it was really their idea. We were discussing the format they use and I said that I wonder if HS would ever have anything like this?
For the record? none of them thought it was likely either, but I see no harm in asking.

You, yeah you.

You awesome. Here is one upvote.

What format are you exactly talking about? Because all the official formats still have a banned and restricted list. Even Vintage, which has no banlist and includes the power nine, still has a restricted list, meaning you can only have one copy of certain cards instead of the usual four.

Also, could you provide with some examples of errata’d cards they use with their original text? Because, there aren’t that many in reality, most of them either get banned or restricted.

i’ll have to ask my friends what it is that they are playing. What I know is that they use much many cards that aren’t allowed in tournament play and I don’t know if there are limits on how many copies etc. But I’ll do my best to find out and get back to you.

You are either someone who understands what that statement means or doesn’t.

I could make you a very long lost of things that I could get done with $400 a TIME adding up to $x0,000, probably $100,000+ by the time I have replaced and repaired things and it has nothing to do with wanting or greed.

One thing that would never be on the list would be wasting it on microtransactions.

Priorities and, to be fair - how grown up you are.

Spend money on toys or get something repaired/replaced in the house, garden or car or pay out on insurance or other bills, being as having any of them needs constant ongoing, never ending maintenance.

Choices adults have to make.

And using fast food as a currency convertor is the worst argument on the Internet.

Poverty is $1 a day, billions of people live on that and nerds on gaming forums use it as a benchmark of ‘how little’ something costs.

1 weeks wages for a Big Mac meal.

The person who built their Iphone in China can only dream of a banquet of a McDonalds.

What statement are you talking about?
I don’t support microtransactions at all and the only statement I made is that 400.00 would pay my insurance for a year. I have been free to play since Standard was created, so I would like you to check your response as it is possible that you are addressing the wrong player. i think this game is sickeningly overpriced and their model is downright predatory, to be honest. You are admonishing the wrong person for having skewed priorities…

A CAKE FOR EVERYONE !

You need to calm down and reread things not through your chip on your shoulder lenses.

I was 100% TOTALLY AGREEING WITH YOU.
