I think I have the solution to the Priest Problem

Hey guys, its your buddy Shaman King and I don’t know about you but I’m sick & tired of Res Priest! It’s a cancer! [sidenote: had a game vs a copy priest this morning and did you know they steal buffs too? I didn’t] but back to Res Priest, and any control Priest really, Auto concede was NEVER the way. No, we must THUG IT OUT! We gotta just start roping the crap out of Priest  like the instant the play any aspect of this blatantly unbalanced resurrection package. The biggest problem for me is how much time is required to solve Convincing Infiltrator, the card requires little foresight to play but because of its dynamic deathrattle its a real problem to kill. The other Priest stuff is fine really. Thoughts? #SezWhoRight #teamNEUTRON

I’d much rather move on to a game I’m more likely to enjoy.

Shaman is the class that cares the least about Rez Priest. Hex, Revolve, Devolving Missiles, Earth Shock, (in Wild) Devolve…

did the wife leave you or something?
3rd strange post i c from you in 5 min.

As has already been pointed out, rez priest is absolutely easy to wreck as shaman, just turn the cards into something else, kill them, and let them rez 0/1 taunt minons the rest of the match.

yea… this is a much better solution guys. Currently working for me. I rope and drag out EVERY Priest game I play the second I detect that Mass Rez package. I literally stopped getting matched VS as Res Priest! :joy: Its worth a try you guys, I not saying throw every game, but if more players protest in this fashion we can community nerf problem cards. Thoughts? #SezWhoRight

Do you really think someone willing to play control priest is going to be fazed by this? Nah, the increase in average amount of time you spend in a game is going to be way higher than the priest’s.

What if, instead of doing all this, we just played the game?

Like, seriously, most of the resurrect archetype is rotating out, and priest is already the class with the lowest winrate.

So this is going to sound crazy, but I’m fairly certain I have the matchup against priest worked out.

So the core mechanics that the priest player takes advantage of most obviously include their ability to re-use high-value minions, but additionally, the Priest’s access to efficient healing and removal allows them to survive long enough to make the most out of their value. What weakness does this open up for us?

Well when priest is playing for value, obviously, they aren’t playing for tempo, but one needs to be cautious in how they acquire that tempo. If one overcommits, they are subject to the punishment of mass removal, so a level of restraint is required. We must not abandon who we are. The kings will return, if only we are patient. Daluhu Lkraktar Imohen. I am the vessel. But it is hard to pressure priests without over-committing, isn’t it? Thankfully, plague of death will rotate before too long, and we won’t need to worry about it anymore. It does certainly reduce our ability to, though of!

Anyway, that’s far longer than I intended this post to be, but I hope that helps!

And in the next expansion, they are making new cards with taunt + deathrattle + heal!
Can’t wait to see how they will reprint: spellstone -> mass ressurrection -> new card

I listen to music and do my work when someone is roping lol.
I also rope them back. I always do something else while playing Hearthstone.

I love playing Priest - it is a Control Class after all haha. That said - Ramp Paladin (the one with the murlocs) does pretty well against them, as you have so many ways to fill the board and they don’t have enough clears. Plus the deathrattles can only target so many minions. A board full of clowns x 2 then another 2 boards full with Y’sharj, and then a board full of minions summoned by the new N’Zoth… oh and did I mention a board full of murlocs haha. I’m at Diamond 5 playing that and Secret Mage.

Yes, Actually! The idea came to me when I was playing VS a Priest that started the game roping into hero power at the last second for the 1st 5 turns. I realized he was only willing to do that because for him the game didn’t really start untill after turn 5! So this is week 2 of my using this psychology back at them and so far I’m satisfied with the reaction I’m getting. :smirk: :love_you_gesture:

Not an option for those of us who play Wild. Rez Priest is still pretty common in Wild and still annoying. I have ways of getting around it with my Raid the Sky Temple deck, but if I’m playing either of my other two competitive Wild decks (which are minion based), it’s almost a confirmed, dragged out loss.
