I need help. ASRock B365M Pro4 Motherboard

Ignore this. I’ve figured it out

Hey all, I have searched high and low for videos or even a map to no avail.

This is my first new build and I’m doing fine but The motherboard is not clearly labeled. I need help connecting the Cooler Master mb320l front panel to the ASrock B365M Pro4. As stated, this motherboard is not clearly marked and not color coded, and the guide is NO help! Can anyone in the know point me in the right direction?

This is really frustrating!

There should be a 4 pin wide connector on the mobo, with a notch, labeled chassis 1 or something like it. The fan might not have 4 pins, unless it’s 3.

I was asking about the front panel connections. There’s something like 2 pos and 2 negs, on/off and LED for a total of 6 individual pins.

As t turns out, the motherboard was DOA so I have to start over on Monday when the replacement arrives.

I found different youtube videos but none for this specific motherboard. I wasn’t able to find anything for the Cooler Master MasterBox MB320L (ARGB Micro-ATX with Dual ARGB Fans) either.

I have to say that the majority of the videos were outdated and the ones that weren’t, were incredibly annoying. People talking for 20 minutes and not actually showing what the video says it’s going to show because the lighting is too dark or their fat hands are blocking whatever they are working on. One guy breathing so heavy that I would rather hang myself by my left toe while playing the tuba than listen to it.

So far I can say saving $2000 is still worth it LOL

Buy a new motherboard. A better way to remove all the problems.

You check the motherboard manual?

@Jonius
Yes, I saw it, and screen shotted the part I struggled with to my desktop, thank you so much. I also found something in Google images. The issue I have with the book manual is the print for the system panel header is so tiny that it’s not legible. It never occurred to me to go to the site, which is awesome because it can be zoomed in.

I thought you were looking to plug a fan? Are you trying to plug like the power button?

Red should be +. Black should be -.

what I have vs what the manual shows. I’m connecting the front panel, not the fan. Master Cooler also makes cases/towers.

On page 19 the power SW and the reset SW both have ± which requires two pins but the manual is only showing one slot for each. Am I to use the grounders for the negatives?

The power/reset/etc are on the short axis. The picture of the manual doesn’t identify what pair does what.

I would google your motherboard to identify the pin layout. I didn’t see anything like that on the actual motherboard. There was a bit of shadow though.

You just have to identify the pins.

Do you have Steam? Assuming you hover community and click discussion, there’s a hardware forum you could use. This really doesn’t belong here.

I got it together. One of the streamers helped me via Twitter. If I am allowed to give shout outs @TopProdigy (on twitter) is a decent guy. He took the time to take pictures of his own rig and explain the leads to me. That was just too cool of him to not post kudos.

I scored a steal on a GTX 1060 on eBay today and am waiting for the SSD from Newegg. Those are the easy parts! If ever you (or anyone) decides to buy a new case, I can’t recommend MasterCooler because none of the leads were labeled and the front fan connections weren’t included in their manual. I also learned that they don’t respond to support tickets and have proven that they only sell products but don’t stand behind them. You buy it, they ghost. I reiterate, there’s no “how to” videos, no labels on the leads, nothing in the manual and no support.

If you can reach me, now that I have this experience under my belt, I can do my best to help anyone who gets stuck.
