The quests are not forced on anyone. You can reroll. Or not do them at all. But if you want the free stuff they are giving, then you will have to do it. But that’s a choice.
And like the previous poster said, if you don’t like it, stop. A game is supposed to be fun. Find something else.

The weekly event quest cannot be rerolled. All others, however, can be. This weekly event quest will be extremely tedious to complete. And unfortunately, it gate locks the next weekly, so in order to earn the event rewards, you must play arena or BG matches to get through that weekly. It’s annoying to be sure, but you gotta suffer through it to get the free stuff.
I just keep loading up BG games at work and put the phone down and check it a few minutes later when I’m dead. Then queue up another. It’s probably not what the developers intended, but it’s the system they’ve implemented, so that’s what you gotta do.
Unfortunately, insta-conceding a BG will not grant credit as a played game. Does anyone know exactly what you need to do to trigger a “game played” (i.e. how many rounds or how much damage taken, etc.)?

While I realize that some people enjoy BGs, to me they are just a tedious, boring mess. Arenas aren’t much better. They really need to give people an alternate means to complete junk like this, rather than forcing them to slog through game modes that they want nothing to do with just to prop up their BG/Arena numbers. Gate-locking of the following week’s weekly is just an added slap to the face.

Just play ranked or casual and do the daily events, it might take longer but you can still get all the rewards

I find BG very enjoyable, but I do think they should give players a few options on the weekly quests to fit their preferred play style.

I have to agree… I don’t play BG either only for some event quests… but 20 is just too many… I rather use my time to climb in standard ranked… Atleast it could give the “play” count if played 2 turns… I am just testing how many turns do I have to play in this stupid mode to make it count… Most of the rewards are related to Standard play… why force BG then? 
However I am almoast at the 3rd reward and not interested in the beutifull signature cards which I will never use anyway… but still…

LOL! It took me a few game to figure out how I was coming in 4th,5th place while AFK’ing in the BG’s, guess lots of other people are doing the same.

Indeed… it was a stupid idea to make an event with BG quests which has almoast zero BG rewards…
