Hunter Face DMG

I disgree. An entire class should be weak to something? Or a deck should be week to something? Is it ok for a class not to have a weakness?

Both classes and decks should have weaknesses. What’s the point in having classes if they can all do everything? So, no, its not ok far a class not to have a weakness.

Ok so I just beat one of these on ladder quite easily by turn 9 with my paladin.

An weakness shouldn’t become a match so much polarized, rogue is weak against large boards but not for this is useless against zoo or token druid

Hunter is just as weak to Priest, do you also support them getting buffed?

Only face hunter is so bad against priest, hunter have decks that can beat priest, but this doesn’t happen with mage. If hunter was so bad against priest with all its decks I wouldn’t have problems with support it to get a buff

This thread is about face hunter. If you support mage getting support in that matchup its hypocritical not to support face hunter getting support vs priest.

No, mage isnt in a good spot right now but this thread is nothing more than an anti-aggro rant.

I can’t talk for the OP, but all my answers were to stand out the excessive weakness that mage have against this type of decks. I don’t have problems with aggro decks being strong or tier 1, I have problems about mage doesn’t have answers to at least mitigate the loses against matchs that can do so much damage which can’t be defended with taunts

That’s completely different to wanting it completely flipped 'cos “aggro decks shouldn’t kill on turn 7”, as the OP appears to… That’s what aggro decks do! It’s not a new concept

Lmao it’s even worse when you’re a warlock one trick XD

Like I said before, other classes can “do it all”. Mage was suppose to be control yet it has the weakest / conditional control of all right now. Hunter has better control options, Mage is over priced RNG Meme and over priced damage which doesn’t work any more because they broke the HP rules they used to have. There used to be hardly no minions with above 8 health and all of them cost 9-10 mana. Now there’s a ton of ways to break that from granting minions in your deck crazy + stat bonuses to granting +3/+3 to individual minions to flooding the board with cheap minions that can be easily replaced if cleared, none of the traditional methods of control are viable for mage the way they used to be. Flamestrike 4 damage AOE for 7 mana is virtually useless now you have to create an upgraded version of 8 damage to even have a chance at a board clear. Meanwhile Warrior, Warlock, Priest, all have unconditional destroy all minions cards. Individual destroy cards. Classes like Hunter, Rogue, PLD have alternate methods of removal and control. Mage is in the worst state its been relying on combos you can’t pull off because they’re 11+ mana and require your opponent to leave minions on board when every class has a million rush cards and control tools.

Priest is obviously an issue. Most classes have issues and OP aspects. I refuse to spend any of my 30,000 dust until the next set of expansion hit because I really don’t want to invest in this set at all.

And yes, I hate aggro, always have, because it limits the potential for every home brew deck and any random decks that aren’t tried and tested by the millions of games played by exploiting low starting HP, mana / coin / curves. It’s basically a cheat that doesn’t work against some yet still viable enough to stick around and win 50%+ simply by exploiting the broken design of the game. It isn’t “healthy”, it restricts the very reason why people play to make decisions and get rewarded by using no brain tactics to spam board and go face. It is a cancer.

No, they cant. Show me a Hunter control deck, or a Priest aggro deck.

LOL mages removal options are FAR better than Pallys, they dont even have a single target 1 card removal in their arsenal, and their board wipe costs 6 mana. Try again.

You are so biased its not even funny! (actually its estremely funny, too bad your essays dont do you any favours)

Mage is so bad vs face hunter you will have to tech a third of your deck to get to 50% which will then ruin all your other matchups. Better to just lose to hunter and forget it.

Odd Mage was a year ago.

Odd mage wasn’t face, it was aggro/tempo.

There were a couple of builds - I played the one without Frostlich Jaina or Janalai that was super aggressive and really quite ‘facey’, though I suppose it’s a somewhat loose definition. But when you play Cinderstorm and hope to hit all face, I think that says something. Not to mention Nightblades - I mean, if you play Nightblades, I think that you are very likely a face deck.

Face and aggro are not synonymous. Your “face” variant was just an aggro deck.

Agreed.

You are wrong.

No I’m right. The last meta face deck was mean streets pirate warrior.

No, you are wrong.

All the stuff in that Odd Mage was aimed face with the sole exception of card draw through Pyromaniac unless there was something on the board that required immediate attention. It played exactly the same as the current face hunter. It was also called Odd Burn Mage.
