What is/are them?
Reason/s?
Legend
Reason I never achieved it.
Hatred of high ranked play
11star bonus in standard
Reason: Bad at game, low attention span
Heroic Naxxramas. Should try harder.
Play and beat old expansions, especilly The League of Explorers. When I started to play in TCT expansion. I wanted to buy adventures but I never bought because I needed the gold to buy packs. Later when Blizzard created Standard and Wild, they eliminated the possibility of buying old expansions with gold. I stopped to play after Whispers of the Old Gods finish. I return in Frozen Thone, and i leave again and back again days before Castle Nahtria.
Someday I will buy them with real money to play and beat them.
Rank 1:
The grind becomes too much of a grind once you get close. It’s funny, but being a mobile player (which I am) becomes a significant disadvantage due to all the crappy animations and how long it takes to resolve sometimes of phone it’s really easy to mess up a game at this level due to running out of time.
Sharing mine… Not so much about HS but rather the forum.
I had wanted to create a welcoming environment for posters to post various contents from guides and tips to nonsense and trivial
The community and platform does not support it.
One maybe.
I have been legend (and even made one of the earliest top 100 legend lists) and i have been top 200 in BG.
I never finished a BG season in top 200 though and i do kinda want that so i guess that one is left. But i am never really going for it,with griding my p2p account and by avoiding bad heroes. I dont want to change how i play just to achieve this “goal”
It will happen naturally or it wont. It would be nice if it did happen but if not then i can live with it as well.
Your hopes for the forum are nice. I have given up on these hopes up long ago and i am not trying anymore either. I used to post things about BG to try get a discussion going but they never got much response and other people dont post those things either other then the occasional complaints.
The only threads which get response are rigging threads lol. Which creates a sort of a feedback loop.
Mine are the same as yours i think, i achieved a perfect arena run and 11 stars last month, this month my goal is top 1000
Edit: my bigger goal, to get scrottie to play again
It took me a while to finally achieve Legend when I was a new player, maybe a year from when I started playing in 2019 but nowadays it only takes me like 4 hours to hit it every time they reset the ranks in standard and even less for wild.
I would like to actually END a season in top 10 Legend instead of my usual placement somewhere in top 1000 (696 last reset standard and 189 Wild) but that is super hard because I make some small mistakes when I’m just playing while eating or trying to watch a YT video which costs me a game at least once per day and since I lose double what I gain for winning its a huge setback. Also not using deck tracker is a pretty big setback but I don’t want that crap on my computer.
Rank 1 EU server. Too busy to put the hours in these days.
I really wanted to get into Mercenaries but the regular HS game is what I prefer so I never really gave it a chance.
I wanted to be the roller skating champion of my…
Oh wait.
I think I misunderstood the assignment.
I always wanted to end up a month in at least top 1000 of EU, but I don’t have the patience required. I always get giga bored of running the same top tier stuff and end up homebrewing and tanking my rank by the end of the month. One day I will take it seriously and challenge myself to see how high I can truly go. My highest has been hovering around 1000-2000 before I decide to run some meme list like Chaddius lock and get yeeted out to 10k+
Ever so often I say I’m gonna go really play a netdeck and then get as high legend as possible.
That never lasted long, reason: too boring. Switching off the part of your brain that thinks about adding/removing certain cards to change the handling of the deck is not for me.
I wanna beat that old chess game from Karazhan one day. Every few months, I try for a few hours then give up, but I want the card back for completing the solo content on Heroic.
I beat it and never went back lol.
en passant!
drove me nuts.
What’s that?
If memory serves, the second part happened later. Before I quit (Un’goro’s launch), Standard had been a thing for some time, but you would buy adventures with gold, I think.
You guys are putting it as though skill matters that much in this game.
Anyway, as for me, initially I thought only of something trivial, such as reaching Legend back in the GvG-Gadgetzan era with the decks I wanted to and liked, as opposed to the ‘SMOrc’ ones (I suppose that explains it in terms of reason), but that seemed so trivial that I didn’t even bother with posting it. There’s something else, though: making classic Ysera great (again), and the reason for it… I guess it’s ‘Leeroooooy Jenkins!’ and the like. Same thing for making value matter (again) in Classic.
Nope, its the other way around. Adventures were cash only after the wild/standard split for some time. The gold option was reintroduced a year or 2 after the split. You could craft cards from the adventures, but not purchase the sets with gold though during that era.
If that were the case, how could I possibly have done Karazhan, launched after WotOG and the introduction of Standard, without ever spending any real money on this game?
