So I’ve been a player since 2015 and I’ve purchase every expansion/adventure available. I’ve probably spent at least $1000 on this game and have a 98% of wild and standard cards. I don’t mind the money I spend, but with the new reward system it feels like they are forcing me to spend even more money since I went from getting a free deck a day about to one every 4 days. It’s like my crack dealer just realized I’m addicted and raised the price. With the slow rate of rewards they can’t really claim this game is free to play anymore, especially if you want to compete. There are no such thing as legend budget decks anymore, and with a pack every 4 days and a legendary every 40 packs that means I get one “free” legendary every 5 months and 5 days. Either way, I think instead of buying my crack at the increased price, I’m just gonna tell my dealer I think I’ve had enough.
We all knew that game was expensive before the last expansion, but since Darkmoon fair, they showed their greed and left the community to burn and let the players just quit and quit the game, they don’t care about it. They just want money, at least that’s what they are showing to the world in the last 3 weeks.
I agree that no way is HS free to play anymore. The general consensus is that free to play is a dead concept. And when all the F2P players quit, then expect longer queues and less varied competition. I’m stuck at lev 27 atm, all the daily and weekly quests done, game after game barely getting any XP and this is even with the battle pass. With the old system I was getting a pack every other day just from the 10g/3 win quest a few times + the daily
That being said, there is one legend-viable budget deck, if you want to join the cancer that is aggro DH spreading across the meta. It is OP cheese to the max
Right, joining the cancer (consuming less than 2000 dust) is the only way to counter this money grabbing strategy.
Well, while it is somewhat true, there are budget decks… BUT, then you are forced to play Hunter, Demon Hunter or ZooLock i suppose.
I DO boggle at someone who have spend 1000 dollars lacking cards 
i have probably spend around 200 max, i just make the decks i can with the budget i have set… and i am at the point where i do not throw money at this game… i usually spend like 40 dollars pr expansion and then buy with gold. Never been legend… always hovered at R5 and now Plat 10 or 5 tho…so there is that 
Didn’t you see Aggro DH with only two epics and crazy high WR…? It costs 1870 dust.
