I started playing again after a long break and put together a mech warrior deck. Its fun and seems to do pretty well except against priest decks in general but especially a quest priest Ive been seeing a lot of.
The priest deck has the heal characters quest for a hero power that gives minions +3/+3. It seems to be next to impossible to stop him from completing the quest and utterly impossible to win once its done. The other issue is the endless resurrecting of minions especially the destroy an enemy minion deathrattle and the minion that resurrects other minions (usually the aforementioned one…).
Is there something Im missing? Im seriously on the verge of just conceding anytime a priest plays that quest. It seems like the only thing that could beat it is a balls out aggro deck.
If you think thats rough, wait till you dive into wild and face a Quest/Big/Res priest hybrid deck.
It will depend a lot on what type of Warrior deck you’re playing. Is it more of an aggro deck, or a control one? Mech Warrior sounds to me like Control, but it doesn’t have to be.
If you are playing an aggressive deck, you have to burn the Priest down before it can stabilize, otherwise its late-game tools (Mass Resurrect/Plague of Death) can easily neutralize your aggression. If you’re playing a slower deck, your best bet is to try and outvalue the Priest. This means you have to have Dr. Boom/Omega Assembly and hope you can generate enough threats to outlast the Priest. You can try going all-in on the long game and add an Archivist Elysiana for the fatigue game, but a lot of Priests run one copy of Seance (puts a copy of any minion on the board in the Priest’s hand) to neutralize the Warrior’s card advantage. In my experience, Control Warrior vs. Quest/Rez Priest is an uphill battle for the Warrior, particularly if they’re not careful with their removal.
You don’t. Unless, of course, you’re playing a mecha’thun boomship OTK version of sorts.
Otherwise, you want to pick a class like shaman where you can eff up their graveyard rez with all the good stuff and hope you draw well. Get 2 hexes, murloc hexes, zentimo, silences, hagatha, etc.
