Rattlegore is a 9 mana warrior card with deathrattle resummons “this” with -1/-1
To me, how that reads is that card basically has no deathrattle since when it dies its HP is below 1, so if it dies as a 9/0 it would come back as a 8/-1, so the deathrattle is not triggered, making the card only come back against destroy effects such as Twisting Nether
If its based on max HP so the minion doesn’t just die in minion combat, then I would expect a equality type effect to nullify it’s deathrattle…
If the original Rattlegore always come back as an 8/8 no matter what, it’s pretty bad design since that means buffing the card doesn’t give it additional lives, which is the first instinct anybody that wants to milk this card to its full potential think of.
disclaimer : I know its not a bug but the multiplayer discussion tag is not available for some reason
“this” refers to the rattlegore. it likely gets resummoned with its stats permanently reduced by -1/-1 each time

It dies and comes back as an 8/8. Next time it’s 7/7 and then they hex it or something.
The -1/-1 is referring to the stats on the card when you mouse over it, not it’s actual stats while Razorgore is in play. So when the 9/9 version dies, it’ll summon an 8/8, then 7/7 etc. even if the card is buffed or debuffed in some way.

Damn, you read that totally wrong mate.
9/9 dead 8/8 dead 7/7 dead 6/6 etc
Time to get your silences in there. Doubt it sees much play though.

its probably just to slow and dont do enough even for control warrior unless there is way to either summon it from hand/deck or generate it late gae
Depending on how it’s implemented, silencing it may restore it to 9/9 (while removing the deathrattle).
In that case it might be worth silencing your own after a few deaths.

Almost 100% sure silencing it will just remove the deathrattle, leaving it at whatever attack/health it’s at. Once dead, the minion that comes out of the deathrattle will just be considered a new minion with -1/-1 and the same deathrattle.
It’s possible it’ll revert back to 9/9 stats though. That’s what happens when you silence 1/1 copies generated by Dollmaster Dorian or Zerek’s Cloning Gallery: the copies regain the stats of the originals.
It’s impossible to predict because we don’t know how Blizzard built this.
Typically, for interactions such as these there are two ways that in the past have been used.
One option is to have 9 different minions, 8 of which are uncollectible, and each summons the next as Deathrattle. So the 8/8 one will summon the 7/7, etc. And that 7/7 will look the same but actually be a different minion, with 7/7 base stats. It will remain 7/7 when silenced. And returning it to hand will give you a 7/7 version in hand (that I expect will cost 7 mana in this case).
This method has in the past for instance been used for Jade Golems.
And the second option is to have just one minion that gets a stat-reducing enchantment when summoned. So the card will always be the same 9/9, but after being killed two times its third version will have a -3/-3 stats reduction. This version would return to hand as the base 9 mana 9/9. And silencing it would indeed change the stats to the starting 9/9 (but without the Deathrattle).
This is how for instance Pogohopper was implemented.

In regards to the disclaimer: You were immediately directed to the Community Discussion category of the Forums. Under the umbrella of the Forums, there is still the Multiplayer Discussion category.
In before all warriors scream ‘nerf mind control’.
Neither rattlegore or mind control will be played in the meta once it settles down a month after release. Both too slow.

Most probably, yes. But since when does something like that prevented whiners to cry on forums?
