How do you feel about them re selling pre purchase items?

Hello! so i just wanted check how people are feeling about HS re selling pre purchase items in the in game shop?

i’ve gotten the c’thun card back and now the K&C card back without having to pre order the expansions. for the people who’ve pre ordered those expansions: how do you guys feel that they sell them now seperatly separately? and do you think they will do the same with heroes?

and for the people who are now able to get the card backs that missed the pre purchases: how do you guys feel? is it a valid move?

let me know and i will be sure to read your thoughts

thanks!

If it item is sold under the pretense of exclusivity, it should remain exclusive. I’ve missed many portraits and card backs because I’ve only been playing a ~year but I can respect exclusivity.

that’s fair. i’ve bought my share of pre purchases, so i’m kind of in the middle. on one hand i paid good money for the card back, so it kind of sucks that my item can be re sold for much cheaper later on

but on the other hand: my all time favorite expansion is K&C, and i’m now able to own the card back i’ve always wanted for 4+ years. so i’m very happy about that. so i can see both sides of the coin

A company shouldn’t sell a card exclusively only to sell it openly later. That violates the initial promise that the card and or card back was exclusive.

good - finally i can buy things I did miss

I don’t really care personally.

Anything that only adds aesthetics and doesn’t affect gameplay that can fund projects like mercenaries or whatever else they are adding is fine with me.

They should probably leave the rewards from participating in higher level competitive play alone though. So far the stuff they sold was just “log in around this date and win a few matches at whatever rank” rewards.

i hate exclusive stuff so i dont mind…only thing i dont mind as much as being exclusive are titles tie to brutal content like " conqueror of X content" should be exclusive BUT a title like “the overseer” should be available to all to have(and its not a title that should be be acquirable trough brutal content)

so like a title that show proof of an achievement vs a title that simply give the player an actual title should be treat differently

cosmetic stuff should be available to all and not be exclusive…card back(ncluding legend card back should be given to all)…however to make up for this change…those that have reach Legend should instead be given a special sign//mark on EVERY card back(if they want it on display)

i also dislike limited time stuff…locations exclusive stuff(like how i’am i gonna go into an US college for a card back if i live in another country ?) completly bs…not to say college require registration on top of it(what if i dont need it ? :S)

EDIT: except for blackrock…,grand tournament…savior of uldum…tomb of terror and night in karazhan i got all other card promotion…if wondering…missed 10 months worth of cards back from ladder since game launch(which i would not mind getting my hands on to complete my collection)…is taking a break from playing once in a while too much ? :S…promotion case the 3 first i just didn’t have the $…was investing in something else back when it was freshly release

tomb of terror and and savior of uldum was intentionnaly skipped though…game getting way too costy to my taste

funny comparaison btw XD
old SNES game 80$ last for 10 years…programmers had poor tool kit to work with at the time(1995)
heartstone…6 first set of cards…300$ each(b4 duplicate protection) for almost all cards of each set(1800$…4 adventures for…i think was 40$ ? 160$
12 latest set(lich king to barren) 80$ for about all cards…960$
total 2920$
hero portraits not included
oh and today programmers have quite the nice tool kit lol

"rolling my eyes on ppl about to say “it dont cost that much” "…it sure doesn’t for those that de all goldens and only focus playing 1-2 deck

ya i went off topic a bit with the edit XD

I play since 2014. I have bought 3 Mega-bundles (among other things). Did buy Thunder King, Sylvanas, Medivh (already owned Maiev) and 4-5 card backs with gold. I wouldn’t mind others having the option to buy what I already paid for. I do not care for exclusivity. I love having the option to get stuff from the past, especially with in-game currency.

Its a good thing. Allows more people to experience those things. For the people that got those exclusive items, they had access to them for years in advance. Isnt that enough exclusivity?

Only people that disagree are the salty kids who want everything to be about them. I bet deep down these kids dont actually care about what exclusives they had. They probably never use those card backs or hero portraits. But suddenly, because everyone else can get it 2 years after them, all of a sudden they want to use it now. Those people are honestly selfish and sad that they cry that other people get to experience something they got to many years ago.

Id somewhat understand if say you bought the mega bundle 2 weeks ago and Blizz puts that hero portrait and card back in the shop for gold 2 weeks later. But we’re talking content thats 3-4 years old. Whoever is moaning that kobolds stuff is available are selfish simple as. Those items have had their exclusivity for years. Times up.

Cry more kid. Pretty sure fomo is one of the things that ruins games in general.

Normal players dont buy expansions for the hero portrait. We buy it for the cards. Thats what separates normal people and psychos like you. We buy the game for the game. You buy it to make yourself feel special

I don’t understand why they decided to sell portrait/card backs for gold BEFORE making old adventures (actual content) buyable with gold.

Since duels is a mode, it would be good to make old adventures easy to access.

gonna guess the second half of your post was directed at me since i’am the only 1 that mentionned hero portrait ? and seriously calling me a psycho for liking a cover more than an other ? you may as well dress yourself in clothes full of holes if you dont care about eastethic o.O

I don’t much care about limited time offer stuff like Sir Annoy-O or the Thunder King being sold again, but the preorder skins were too expensive to throw them back into the shop to be sold for gold.

Dont give them the idea of reselling expansions back to us lol.

If anything when you’re crafting a deck in duels every card should be available to you whether theyre in your collection or not. It shouldnt be only cards in your collection that you can use. When U join a game of duels everyone should have the same options. Otherwise it becomes an unfair mode. Which is why no one plays it.

How were they expensive? They were free?

They were $80 each. This “they were a free bonus” argument is ridiculous. I could say the 80 packs they came with were free and that only the skin was $80.

Why did you quote me you ignorant little kid ?!

I’m chill with it, and I’ve been playing since the beta announce in 2014. I don’t think things like the card backs were necessarily advertised as exclusives.

I do think that anything that is advertised as an exclusive or a one-time-only thing should largely be respected, though.

I also think Blizz should maybe consider creating real one-offs like Legend and Masters card backs per year that can’t be bought. It would give a real feeling of achievement and ownership, more legitimacy to the pro scene, and a reason to grind harder at the game (and it can definitely be a grind).

Nope. Directed at the guy with gadgetzan auctioneer as his pic. He originally had a post between my 2 posts saying along the lines of ‘people like you are the reason this game is bad. Keep crying and giving Blizz money for expansions’ but has since deleted it. Now is trying to make out that he never made it. Like i said. He’s a psycho.

Because you are a pshyco
