or what about this lol.
3xfinal fight,beeing favored between 50% and 70% every fight.
Me with macaw first and golden selfless. 3 times my opponent starts first and finally wins final fight.
Its so obviously rigged.
I did misplay this slightly btw but still, beeing favored 3 times above 50%
(it was not a toss up going first as i had changes to win going 2nd as well but going first was still a huge advantage).

Such great scientific facts, please tell me more.

Yes. Yes, it is rigged. Now you may uninstall.

So… you admit to misplaying, which can cost even favored matchups, along with losing the coin toss, and that means it’s rigged?
Does playing poorly cause losses?
If I flip a coin three times in a row and each time is tails, is the coin therefore rigged?
Good lord, this place hurts my soul lol

I keep losing. My losses cannot be explained by mistakes I make (I admit to making them) or in other words my level of skill. Something else must be at play here to explain my losing. What could this be? It must be that matchmaking or draws are being manipulated, because that’s why I’m losing. I’m being matched to my counters (they’re counters because I lose to them). And my draws suck (could be poor deck design) while my opponents’ draws always seem perfect (they’re playing their cards more wisely in fact).
You can see and empathize with the thinking.

I’m gonna re-enter the discussion here just to say that’s one of the pitfalls i fell early on the game.
“Why does it seems Hunter always have the perfect cards?” That’s strange AF, i would think.
Then i got to look at it more in-depth and they have multiple cards dedicated to the same (low) mana slot. Like, the whole deck dedicated to turn 6 and prior cards. Then i looked at my deck and the lightbulbs went off.
“Oh, my draws feel bad because my cards aren’t adjusted to answer those situations”.
Don’t get trapped in that people. If you’re homebrewing your own thing, it’s easy to feel people have perfect draws, when in fact they have better card choices.

I also believe what OP said is true. Blizzard has motivation to make players struggle so hard (or at a proper level) that they feel like they need to improve their decks somehow, either by playing more games (more in-pool players) or buy some packs.
I do not have evidence for my claim, since Blizzard has never officially show game match making detailed statistics.
However, if you observe your match making with each of you deck, you will find my argument likely true.

That makes a lot of sense to me. Everyone wants to win MORE than they lose, but Blizzard’s match maker is trying to accomplish 50/50. This WOULD make a player want to improve their deck by purchasing packs, but still after that, will be at a 50/50 winrate. And the cycle of spending and need to buy packs to improve is constant.
What other win and loss ratio should a matchmaking system follow?
None. Could be based on a ladder rating that isn’t filled with a bunch of other conditions other than plain old rank.

What do you mean? Sorry. Are you saying beyond aiming for a 50% win rate there are other conditions influencing matchmaking
Who am I kidding… I forgot what topic we’re in. And where’s the evidence for this? Oh, there is none. Moving on.
Why resurrect a topic to have the same discussion that goes nowhere? When one is willing to believe something based upon mere suspicion, one is willing to believe anything. This is why one should require evidence.

I would like to see the evidence too, but how do I get that information ?
If you have a way to acquire it, show me. Otherwise, your argument provides nothing new.

Positives can be proven, so you first.
Oh its an old post guys, keep up with the new content
Percentages…statistics…algorithms…

One of the first pieces of advice you find when trying to climb is to switch decks when you start to lose.
And don’t tilt.
I have a problem with tilt. Or I did. I took a long break and if I pay too close to all those fancy numbers you nerds like to throw around, it begins feeling like a chore.
I’m just here to play cards, make lame jokes, and free popcorn!
Honestly, yes, they system is rigged and when I saw the title of the post, I admit, I had my doubts.
I opened the thread anyway (because I can’t help myself) and was pleasantly surprised to see a rational post! So, kudos to you for bringing some rationality to whatever gestures toward forum this is…
