Hearthstone players are funny

Hearthstone players are funny. when they lose, they complain about card draw and bad matchups but when they win, they think they won because they are good at the game.
The problem is that none of them wants to admit that card draw and bad matchups are real reasons for losing. the best player in the world loses A LOT of games because of bad matchups and sometimes because of card draw. Go listen to the best HS players in the world on twitch, they all complain about bad matchups and card draw when they lose.
When they lose: “my draws were bad” “it’s a bad matchup”
but when they win: “I’m so good at this game”

and btw winning can also be due to good matchup for you or because you drew very well not because you played well.

I suppose you’re right, but let’s note pretend like this expansion isn’t still unbalanced as hell and has far too many broken decks in rotation right now. You can literally lost a game inside of 5-6 turns to some of them. That’s simply not okay.

What does that have to do with my post? I didn’t say anything about this expansion?

You’re confusing bad matchups with guaranteed loss matchups.
Bad matchups are unfavorable, and drawing bad stacks the odds against you.
You also go on to mention “the best player in the world” losing because of bad matchups so I get the idea that you’re not really taking a solid stance; a troll post perhaps?

What is the difference between bad matchups with guaranteed loss matchups, mister?

that’s what I said, mister.

You didn’t explain why I’m wrong. you’re just making fun of my post and calling it troll. also I said to go watch the best hearthstone players in the world on twitch, they all complain about bad matchups and card draw when they lose.

Core definition. Any further questions related to this can be referred to Google.

Your post doubles back on itself. Your back, and fourth.

you didn’t explain anything. you’re the troll one. also, you still didn’t wanna talk about my point. go watch the best hearthstone players IN THE WORLD on twitch, they all complain about bad matchups and card draw when they lose.

you’re funny. How am i able to google that?. there is nothing about that on google because it doesn’t exist and your point is wrong.

I WON BECAUSE I AM THE BESTEST HEARTHSTONE PLAYER EVAR!!!

I ONLY LOST THOSE OTHER 57492 GAMES BECAUSE THOSE DECKS ARE OP AND NEED NERFED BUT THE DEVS PLAY THEM SO IT WONT HAPPEN!!!

Satire if you’re brains aren’t there.

I mean OP aint wrong … players seem to forget this is still a CARD game … which involves a ton of luck or badluck :stuck_out_tongue:

Sure you have the skill part on when and where to play X card , attack , even board , etc … but its still a card game !

Yes people can complain about X or Y , but as long as they convey thoughtfully their opinion and not just vomit it !

Why Dredge is great. You won’t lose because the card you needed was at the bottom of your deck anymore.

I wasn’t directly saying he was wrong.
Just shading in the bubble for “nuance.”

/ˌənˈwinəbəl/

adjective

  1. not able to be won.
This is different from odds being stacked against you as you can still win in those situations.
    Understand? Great, moving on.

You’re the author of your post as evident by the user tag.
In your post at face value you do not take a full stance. Essentially dancing around a subject.
Precisely why I said

Now that I’ve explained this at a third-grade level I’m sure you’ll be able to grasp my point and see your nuance.
Have a great day.

First of all. you are a TROLL. you just want to argue with people online for fun.

And no. There is no difference between bad matchups and guaranteed loss matchups. You just made that up. Both of those matchups you lose UNLESS you drew well or got lucky. they are the same thing and there is no difference. you win in those situations when you draw well and maybe be lucky with random card generation and discover effects. playing well may help also.
also, if there is a difference between those two things then why do the best hearthstone players in the world talk about bad matchups or card draw when they lose?
also, stop trolling. go find another post to troll and argue with.

News flash: If there’s a winning chance then by definition it’s not a guaranteed loss!
Thanks for proving my point.

I NEVER said in my initial post that there are guaranteed loss matchups. read my post again. you are the one that made that up. I don’t know why you made that up or even mentioned it. I said “bad matchups”, I didn’t say “guaranteed loss matchups”. Are you blind? Are you ok? there is no guaranteed loss in hearthstone IF you have the right cards(AND get lucky AND draw well). for example, if you’re playing against mecha’thun deck as a pure control deck you would loss all the time unless you have dirty rat/mutanus in your deck and you were able to snipe mecha’thun.
note that you need to get lucky and draw well because sometimes you don’t draw mutanus and other times you play mutanus but it doesn’t hit mecha’thun

Look, it’s obvious you’re frustrated. That’s fine. It’s a natural reaction to a poorly-worded statement getting dissected.

No, but your OP was worded so poorly that I said:

Also, you keep going back to the differences in a guaranteed loss and an unfavorable matchup. All at the same time, proving my point.

How was my post poorly-worded?. I literally said what hearthstone players say “It’s a bad matchup”. YOU are the one that didn’t understand well my post. it’s on you.

What did I say wrong? I literally just explained that there are no guaranteed loss matchups in HS if you have the right cards and luck. Do you disagree with that? and why?

Pay attention.
I will not say it again.
If you fail to understand then there is no helping you and thus will confirm your “troll” label.

Three (3) times I have already answered your question.
Your OP doesn’t take a solid stance. You start off saying “Hearthstone players are funny” and carry on with the idea that players think they’re really good at the game when they win, regardless of circumstance. It’s written from a satirical stand point with a hint of nuance. After that you proceed to say “look at this good player” which is where it starts to get confusing. It’s almost contradicting your entire first half of the opinion piece you wrote.

Now, I get it. It’s an opinion piece, right? That’s fine. It’s not the first nor the last one here on forums.
I just don’t understand how you can post an opinion piece with no clear opinion. Is that so hard to understand? I’ve said it several times in our dialog.

People that post on Hearthstone forums and call people that play Hearthstone (The person making the post plays Hearthstone, thus the delicious irony) funny are funny. Anyone here kettle? This pot is calling you black…

oh boy. you are the troll. you are the type of person that enjoys arguing with people online for nothing.
I was making fun of people that think that they played well every time they win but not mentioning that it was good matchup or good card draw. I said that the best hearthstone players can win because of good matchups or good card draw. What’s wrong with that? I said that even good players make that mistake of thinking they played well every time they win when it was just good matchup or good card draw for them. Players only talk about matchups or card draw when they lose but they don’t mention it when they win.

you just explained once in your last comment and it’s an awful meaningless explanation

How was that an opinion? Boy, you are a troll. I even said that you can see that for yourself on twitch by watching those best players in the world.
Those best players sometimes they win because it’s a good matchup or card draw and sometimes they win because they played well. bad players only win when it’s a good matchup or good card draw.
I don’t wanna entertain you anymore by replying back. I shouldn’t feed the troll. I hope you don’t make up something stupid and accuse me of something stupid.
