Screen is 1280x1024 (5:4). Setting is 1280x960 (4:3). But at random times (seems to happen anytime, repeatedly in battlegrounds, maybe at transitions like loading/exiting games, but also…anytime) the game flickers, decides my choice isn’t what it wants to do and it distorts to 1280x1024 (Hearthstone does not support 1280x1024).
The menu will still suggest that you’re in 1280x960. Exiting and re-entering full screen will reset it for a few minutes.
Really annoying!
You might find it better to use windowed mode if Hearthstone doesn’t support your native resolution.
No, that would be considerably worse. The screen area would be less and there would be clutter all over the screen on the edges.
This seems to happen at times when something is jockeying for window focus. Then when Hearthstone takes back control, it forgets what resolution it is supposed to be in and distorts to full screen.
Happens to me between every other game.
Is it really that difficult to store settings? Literally tens of thousands of other games have no issue with this.
