I am having difficulty opening hearthstone on my Pixel 8 Pro. The game will completely crash and kick me back to home screen while on the loading screen. It never reaches the main screen.
I have tried force closing the app, clearing data and cache, rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling, all multiple times with no improvement.
I have seen posts regarding issues on previous generations of pixel phones but not the pixel 8. The solutions suggested for the pixel 6 issues do not apply to me since the system interface is different and does not have the same options for optimization.
I have submitted a ticket that didn’t appear to even have been read by the GM since they suggested I do things that I explicitly said in the initial ticket that I had already tried.
I’m wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation and has any ideas for fixes. Thanks.
I have this same issue for some time now. I read it could have something to do with the version of the Google Play store app trying to sign into bnet when you launch the game. I haven’t gotten it to work yet.
I just got mine to work after placing both apps into unrestricted battery usage. Then reinstalled HS after deleting the cache and local data. Upon the sign in prompt I selected either not now or the auto generated account for your Google Play which I don’t use. Then the game was able to download all the files after which I changed to my actual Bnet account. I then changed all the settings back to normal for both apps and I am able to launch the game and play as usual. Not sure what steps are actually necessary but it worked for me.
