Hearthstone app won't start with good wifi

The game won’t load, as soon as I start it starts trying to look and download for a update whilst it has already 100% updated at home, I have tried running it at home and it does work there for some reason, even in the bus it works, plz help

I am sorry to hear you are having connection issues with the game on your home network. Thank you for taking the time to narrow it down to the home network though, this helps me give you steps to try.

As we know this is isplated to the home network and not the device, we know it is a block like a firewall, bad node, or bad routing.

With that siad, One of the steps we can try is changing the DNS service. You have two options that we offer that are free. These can help if it is just bad routing on your ISPs side. You will have to change this on the Device and the Modem for best effect.

Next, If that does not help, we can try opening the ports for the game. This does not tend to help as much as it used to, but could still be an issue here.

Last, if still unable to connect, it may be best to reach out to your ISP and ask for help. You know the game works on other networks outside of the one they provide you. They would know their systems better than we could.

The problem isn’t on my home network, it’s a problem on other home networks, I have the password and it connected but then it doesn’t connect

If it’s exclusive to other networks, you’ll need to talk to those network’s admins to troubleshoot the issue. It’s possible there’s some kind of a block on our servers from that network, especially if it’s a business, or that the wifi just isn’t quite stable enough to stay connected to our servers. You can try getting closer to the router or seeing if they can configure their firewall. Other than that, you may need to use your mobile network while at that location.
