I just watched a video on the Hall of Faming for Baku & Genn and their support cards as well as some Classic cards like Doomguard and Naturalize. Hopefully we get something in standard to replace the Classic cards. In fact, I wish there was a requirement that for any time a Classic card is HoFed a card of equal rarity must replace it in the set (we still need classic cards to replace Sylvanus Windrunner and Ragnaros)
On a side note, if Charge is such a problem just replace it with Rush. That would fix a lot of issues with it.
I don’t see the point of adding similar rarity cards. I mean there are plenty of bad legendaries in the classic set. Would adding another do any good? If we add another legendary of similar power to sylvanna or ragnaros then that defeats the purpose of sending them to the hall of fame in the first place. So, I can’t see a good outcome in adding another card to the classic set.
From what I read in the year of the dragon announcement it sounds like they’re making good changes. I just hope that they’re planning on making a lot more changes like these. Like every 2 months maybe.
IMO this game needs to change and update much more often. Change up the cards whether it’s taking them out of standard or changing the cards themselves. Add new modes. Just change things up.
They should add something for the classes that lost something to even out the cards that each class has available. Also they should just scrap the Forever Set idea and just rotate cards in and out of the pool from among Basic, Classic and all the expasions. There are a ton cards that are problematic or always lead to the same kind of builds like Malygos, Velen, Mindblast, Leeroy, Tundra Rhino, Frothing Berserker, Preparation, and Mage AoE Freeze to name a few. It would be better that they just have stuff come and go in cycles instead of Forever nerfing or removing this stuff from the game with a Forever set. Or if they absolutely must have a Forever Basic Set just make it all garbage cards like Warsong Commander and Magma Ragers you know the cards no one will ever use except maybe in Arena when one is forced upon you.
Im very unhappy with those changes, i spend a lot of money to get odd and even deck. Bought a lot of pack to get this cards, now we get refund in dust but only for those cards which go away. What about cards which you’ve made for.those decks but are usless now? Feel like cheated this way. Its bad practice. You buy product for 2 years and is out after 1. Dont get me wrong i have notthing to balance game, but on that expansion i spend realy a lot ofmoney and i tought this archetype will survive. I think it was my last expansion which i bought. Whats the point to buy cards if you dont know how long it will be there. Bye heartstone

Prepare for a lot of downvotes. I agree with your point and its my main issue with the early retire and the precedent it sets. We only get a tiny partial refund on cards we expected to at least be around 2 years.
This is much different than a new expansion making the old strategy obsolete or a normal rotation. Decks are more than just the 1 card you are building around. You invest into cards that go with that synergy that are most likely not good elsewhere. Its your choice to go all in on that plan expecting the deck to at least be playable for the entire rotation and risking the new things that come along during that rotation doesn’t make it obsolete. What is not your choice is Blizzard just removing the Card you invested in early and rendering all the resources you spent on the deck to support the card null and void.
It feels like what a breech of contract would be if one existed. You signed up for 2 years of use but you get less than 1. Under an actual contract you would get compensation for a breech as outline In the terms. This case its Blizzard circling around you Laughing their butts off pointing at and taunting you. With them all shouting stuff like “Hahahahaha got you Noob.” or “We got all your dust HaHa Noob.”

Standard and Wild were the biggest mistakes made in the game.
These modes are just an implementation of planned obsolescence, anyway.
A digital card game should not have perishable cards.
Thankfully the downvote option is not available on these forums . I agree with the precedent issue as there is less incentive to make sure cards in new expansions are balanced and fun for the 2 years the Expansion is supposed to last if there is the option of HoFing the card before its time.
I’ve played mainly odd decks since starting Hearthstone 2 months ago… Most of my decks are of the odd variety.
Yet I’m happy they are rotating out. Even as a new player the meta feels stagnant and I feel it needs new breath.
The odd and even mechanic and all the death knights, the cube decks, all those cheat mechanics… See you later.
I feel that this will be great and add a new lease of life and it will be exciting to see what the new expansions hold.
Maybe I’m less salty as I’m sitting in 35k dust and 8k gold to plough into the new expansions… So dust isn’t the issue for me… The state of the current play is.
