The damage the minion gets is also wrongly buffed by groovy cat
What do you mean exactly? Because Groovy Cat is supposed to buff Artanis’ attack value. There’s still a visual glitch where it doesn’t show, but the damage is correct.
it should buff the attack the hero gets. not the one the minion gets
No, the wording says “a friendly minion AND your hero”, so the minion gets the same buff.
and groovy cat says “Your Hero Power gives your hero 1 more Attack this game.” So the Increase of damge given should just increase the damage to the hero not the minion.
And Artanis’ hero power gives that attack power to a minion.
no ffs it gives plus attack to the hero AND plus attack to a minion. Groovy cat should just increase the first! you also try to discuss with me on the other thread with absolut bull agruments so i am done with you now.
Fully agree with you Apoca1yptica.
Artanis reads give a friendy minion and you hero +1 attack this turn.
Groovy cats says “your hero power gives your hero 1 more attack this game.”
For how it works right now the card should read “your hero power gives 1 more attack this game.”
Somebody needs to do some sience and see if Jim Raynor also gets buffed by groovy cat.
I know Blizzard said before the launch that the way it works now was intended but it is still wrong according to the texts.
No, because Jim Raynor doesn’t gain attack of his own when you use his hero power.
Artanis’ hero power gains attack and gives that much attack to a minion. It’s as simple as that.
It is not as simple as that! Just read the fkn card! It gives your hero AND the minion +1 Attack!!! Nowhere does it say “the same amount to the minion as the hero”. Gosh you annoy me in 3 threads now.
It does on Artanis.
I actually just reported that played with Sing Along Buddy, Artanis gets its attack buffs multiplied instead of added. Something isn’t working as it is supposed to.
Groovy cat is +2 Atk
1+2=3
Times 2 because of Sing Along Buddy that’s 6, maths are mathing
If Groovy cat read “Your hero receives +1 Atk from your hero power this game” then sure the minion would only get 1 and your hero 3
But since groovy cat buffs the part of your hero power that buffs your hero, if said part also buffs a minion then it’s a side effect benefit from the buff
and another one that can´t read… no the text of groovy cat states that it only buffs the damage given to the hero not that of the minion. just like the one befor you, you don´t read the card. no where does it state that the same amount is given to hero and minion. it is just +1 to the hero and +1 to the minion. groovy cat should only buff the first
Blizzard made a change to this interraction so it looks like current way is how they want it to work. Ultimately they make the rules.
then maybe YOU should start learning how to read
“Give a friendly minion and your hero +1 Atk” DOES mean that the same amount is given to both, that’s what “and” means
When a card wants to make the distinction, it clearly reads that one character will receive one effect, then another character will receive another effect
If the her opower reads “Give X and Y +1 attack” and an effect says “improve the part of your hero power that buffs your hero” then if that part is shared then boff get buffed
Again you are the one that is not able to read. or not able to understand. maybe it is a problem with readingcomprehension. AND is still both seperetly. If i give both my kids 5€ per week and I say to one that he did good and gets 1€ extra each week the other one still gets 5€.
You transfommed the effect of giving both your kids 5€ to an effect of giving one 5€ and the other 6 €
The game can’t transform an effect of giving a minion and your hero 1 Atk to an effect of giving a minion 1 Atk and your hero 2 Atk
The game can’t rewritte its own code
If I have a helmet and you hit me with a bat for 1 damage, then equip a bat with +1 against helmets, I bet my head will fill it way more even though your bat doesn’t have bonus damage against my head
The effects are technically bound together, that’s a technical limitation that you completely ignored in your example
your explanation makes zero sense… it was never bound together in the irst place. it says and! that´s all. the oly way this would be correct if it said: give your hero +1 attack and the same amount to a minion. just like on many spells with spell damage. like deal 1 damage draw that many cards.
