You could still buy backs, some hero portraits and card backs just like before except you can no longer buy battleground perks

That’s not excatly true. The case used to be that with gold you could also buy bundles (not the gold ones though.) Arena passes as well, right? But Battlegrounds perks was the main reason to collect gold for me. And now we can only buy stupid card packs and stupid skins. Great. Thanks, Blizz.

What’s worse is they KNEW this change was coming going in, and they made the current rewards track and pass WORTHLESS for everyone who bought it, so they could implement the FAILED multiple currentcy model from HoTS.

Guys, I think the general consensus is that we are all uninstalling. Blizz literally does not listen, and does not care until it hurts their investors. People need to leave in droves. It’s us vs them now

It has been for a while. Since before the workplace harassment situation became public, since they allow pro company posters to troll, harass and violate coc with impunity (up to and including hate speech, and allowing them to abuse the report system and not correcting those issues when finally discovered), etc.
It’s clear microsoft isn’t going to step in and do anything either.

Why do you keep trying to defend the fact that they have continued to nerf golds used down from buying cosmetics, buying arena tickets, buying bg passed to just buying packs. For people who play just arena or just bgs, cards are useless

Im really not the type of person that reads patch notes or keeps up with updates so I didnt have any clue this change was coming until today. I came here just to make sure I wasnt mistaken but yeah it seems gold has been changed now to where you cant purchase the battlegrounds pass, its runestones now, which cant be purchased with gold or earned in any way from what I can see. Super disappointed in this, the end result was just that Im not playing the game now, really sad I had just come back the last several months from years of not playing.

Quite useless for the only fun mode the majority of players are here for.
Gold was versatile before this stupid greedy change.
I don’t care about card packs as I haven’t played classic since many updates ago.
Now I have 10k gold that is unusable, and a reward track that grants even more gold.

For me, and as i read for many others too, gold only payed BG perks since they first came out.
It is like saying you have to pay for Russian gas in Rubel now ( sad but true)
